  1. Not at all, they are all working for the same employer, so whats the problem??
  2. Ah so all the problem in the NHS are the agency staff and all the good things are the PS workers!!!! how stupid of me not to realise

    Mice!!

The air con packed up on my mog, when it was investigated they found a rats nest and dead rat, it had chewed the live wire and the 24V did not agree with it.
  5. There are going to be over 700K public sector jobs cut in the coming years (most of the jobs created by labour were in the PS) so if I was in the PS I would be keeping my head down and hoping I kept my job.
  6. The stupid thing is, he first said "the strike is great", but then said " this is the BBC, so in the interest of balance..." and went on to say they should be shot. It was clearly tongue in cheek. I think the unions are disappointed with the affect of the strike and are using this in the hope it will further their cause, very desperate really.
  7. What like the ones who leave the elderly to die from dehydration or malnutrition on a hospital ward??????
  8. Err I guess you have to hope your not down a mine shaft

    Mice!!

I had some new ropes badly damaged by the little buggers!!!!!!!
  10. No they won't, they just think they will:sneaky2:
  11. Ain't that the truth!! In the future people will look back at the post war generation, that had superb pensions, as a utopian generation. We need to remember that a great many people died in the war and their wealth was passed on to others, meaning their was a great deal of money for those who survived the war. We know have a situation where people are living longer and longer, so the wealth is getting spread thinner and thinner.
  12. This has been shown to be a total myth, in fact most PS workers are considerably better paid than those in the private sector. The change to pensions is not just about the deficit, its about people living longer. When the pension age of 65 first came in the average man lived to 65 and 8 months, so that was very affordable, we know have people claiming their pension for longer than they worked, that just not sustainable!!! Yes you were promised X,Y and Z, but so were many who took out private pensions and they have now ended up with something nothing like what they were promised
  13. I disagree, I removed two trees today that I severed the ivy on 12 months ago, it was so easy to remove:thumbup1: Next time I get an ivy stripping job, I will sever it first and go back a year later to remove it
  14. Interesting job mate!! Did you not think the standing half of the Oak was strong enough?? Topping that out and then using it for the winch pulley would have been my first thought.
  15. So true!!!!!!!!!! I stripped two Sycamores of really bad ivy a few weeks back, I was absolutely wrecked!!!!!!!!!!
  16. If a trades man brought a dog to my house when doing a job for me I would send him on his way. I really don't get how people think its acceptable????????????????????
  17. Nice one!!! Just shows the power of a few pictures!!!!!
  18. The strike day is looking like a real boost to retail, most people who were striking went shopping, LOL!!!!!!!!!
