  1. So true!!! I think I'm going go to the BMW show room and tell them how much I like theirs cars and would really like to buy one, BUT the Skoda dealer just down the road is so much cheaper, wonder if they will help me out?????????
  2. I doubt they would have resoled them, I imagine they would have simply sent you a new pair. If you look at it from their view point, if they simply replaced all defective boots without a receipt to show date of purchase, we would all return our old boots and never need to buy new again.
  3. Kevin, while I largely agree with your post, many start up make no money, they mistake turnover for profit, think they are doing ok and then after a few months or years the realise they are making very little, then then either up their rates or quit. In fact in your post you have made one the often stated errors, VAT registered Co's do not have 20% higher costs, remember they claim back the VAT on all their purchases, so at most they may be 10 or 11% higher, but then the commercial clients can claim back the VAT, so over the whole business VAT registration can often add very little to costs or even reduce them.
  4. Your posh!!! I used to use a ratchet strap up and over the top
  5. I think its hilarious that those outside the industry are the ones saying that some suggested pay is too high:lol:. Neither of them could even apply Reminds me of the firemen up in arms because tube drivers were getting £35K and they were on £25K, problem was every job advertised for firefighters were getting at least 80 applicants, where as the tube driver jobs only got filled after the money was pushed up.
  6. Are we not all "addicted" to food?? Try quitting, you'll last under a month.
  7. I'm now letting things slide for Xmas, I'll eating whatever until the new year and then going to be super strict for a few months.
  8. Done plenty and never had a problem.
  9. How do two fatties do "it" any way, its not posable surely???
  10. True, but you expect all fatties to be jolly, but many are a real disappointment
  11. There was an interesting program on radio 4 today, they have discovered that food that are high in fibre cause the bacteria in your gut to release an enzyme that reduces hunger, so healthy eating is a huge help. It has also been shown that after eating large amounts of food and then shown more food, the obese prone show increased brain activity, where as the slimmer show no increased brain activity. So it is true that some find it harder to be moderate in their eating habits.
  12. This "metabolism" business is a complete myth, the the obese actually have faster metabolisms then the slim. Any one who thinks that they can beat physics and their body can become fat without over eating are kidding themselves. How many fat people came out of Belsen saying "I've been living on a cup of rice a day and not lost a pound!" ???
  13. It is a disability, a mental illness, no one of sound mind could allow themselves to become so fat it actually prevent them for some activities. I gained a stone and a half over a 5 or 6 year period, I was beginning to feel its affect, so I change my diet and shed the weight, surely to not do so would be madness.
  14. Thats fine until some one with something to gain from your death frames you for things you did not do or your just very unlucky. Look at that male nurse who was sent down for killing 5 elderly patents, looking now like natural causes, he's done 7 years, but can at least now be released.
  15. If he was dead from a heart attack how is he going to tell any one you had a poacher alarm? A Snap-on guy I knew who had been turned over for the 4 time told the attending officer he was going to buy a gun, the officers advice was "make sure you shoot them DEAD, that way there is only one side to the story!":sneaky2:
  16. I like climbing Pops, never really understood why some dislike them?
  17. Why would you buy a rifle???? They would be a protected species.
  18. With many chipper you would simply end up with a blocked chute if you extended it.
  19. The draw bar is that length for a reason, I'd be very reluctant to alter it. Could you not alter the tailer bed, to allow the chipper to be moved forward while chipping and back while traveling?
  20. Sorry, my mistake, for some reason I thought it was yours in Arbtrader.
  21. My knees used to really ache at the end of a long day, but as I've got older (now 45) they are almost never ache. I've never found spiking hard on my knees, but I keep them sharp and don't bang them in.
  22. If the thread was only about doing the face why did the OP ask about keeping it level?? The top of the face can often be done while stood in the top of the hedge.
