  1. I would have thought it was activated by air pressure changes, rather than noise, but I could be wrong.

    Vole or mole???
  3. My legs are long enough thanks I would kill any dog that bit any member of my family.
  4. Word!!! Cats are ultimate predator, nothing will beat them for vermin control.
  5. My 880's have always been run on 50-1, same as all my other saws, I think 25-1 is from back when the oils was not so good.
  6. I think its normally grit from the grinding disc you get in your eye rather than the metal, plus it causes such irritation that I don't think you could leave metal in your eye. I has an MRI last year, no problems with my eyes.
  7. After many occasions of getting bits embedded in my eyes (from being flicked in the eye by twigs and grinding rust from old cars) I developed a condition called "reoccurring corneal erosion". Basically I had scar tissue on the front of my eye, over night it would stick to my eye lid, in the morning I opened my eye pulling the front off my cornea. It was very painful and unpleasant!! I put antibiotic ointment in my eye every evening for 6 weeks which sorted it.
  8. I would agree!! I can see no reason for the fast cooling, unless its so hot its burning the wood.
  9. I've offered this a few time, to those customers who keep telling me how much the timber from their tree is worth Not had anyone stupid enough to take the offer yet
  10. Who cares?????????? You really are a very sad individual:thumbdown: IMO.
  11. WORD!!! Ownership is a state of mind.
  12. Which were they? Steel, plastic or wooden base???
  13. I had one a few months back, was asked to quote for removal of failed tree from tennis court, I emailed quote to customer, they passed it on to the insurers. Heard nothing, few weeks later Sun Alliance ring me asking if the work had been completed Tree was still sat on the court (which had obviously not been used for year). Customer was just trying to cash in.
  14. Some PTO shafts have a slip clutch, its just clutch plates held together with springs. The one I had the clutch was close to one of the yokes so the shaft could be shortened in the usual manner. Edit, sorry you wish to lengthen, not shorten, you can probably get a new longer tube section and fit the yokes and clutch to that, if you take the shaft to an agricultural supplier they should be able to match up the parts you need.
  15. Why not post your liposuction surgeons number here
  16. One mans cowboy is another mans bargain
  17. This whole thread is based on the false premiss the there such a thing as a "chainsaw licence", the idea of a "Licence" for a chainsaw or for climbing trees is a joke. This is not driving a car!! If operating a saw "commercially", i.e. in business for money, you should have "proof of competence" this does not need to be the tickets we generally use, but they are in most cases the easiest way of proving competence. If you are using a saw in a hobby type capacity, cutting your own trees or wood, you need nothing.
