Too small for a stick, I'm surprised you did not know that

The same blurred twig as in the other thread.

    Nope…..its a blurred twig
  4. The guy I have sold bowl blanks to makes BIG bowls, that trunk would be cut into lengths between the unions, then ripped in half with the grain.
  5. Not sure I would mill it, if I offered that to the millers I sell too they would laugh. Bowl blanks as mentioned earlier would be more my thinking.
  6. As far as I'm aware up ending is only need for summer felled sycamore and once the sap has stopped running out they should be stacked in the normal fashion.
  7. I found turning 30 really tough, turning 40 was no big deal and as 50 races towards me I'm not concerned
  8. This always makes me laugh, records began seconds ago in geological time. We are like I load of ants on the bonnet of a car, we got here 5 minuets ago, the engine of the car has just started, we think were are responsible, what we don't know is the car engine starts this time every morning, the guy is off to work
  9. Where do I start?????? Wind turbins, there is more carbon produced in the manufacture and installation than they will ever save, same goes for hybrid cars. RHI, solar panels, etc, etc…..
  10. Money , how much cash is being made by all this green wash???
  11. Obviously, but lets have them working here in our country where we can regulate them properly and if things go wrong its we who pay the cost, not the poor, weak, voiceless people of some far of land.
  12. I'm sure those around the world who have had their environment destroyed by the oil/gas industry, because their county is poor, unregulated and corrupt, would be more inclined to agree with me. I would be much happier using fuel that we pay the FULL price for, rather than collaborating in the exploitation of the weak. But hey thats just me, each to their own
  13. Its not the fact that she's a girl Tom, I think its the fact that she's a looker AND a good worker, thats gotta be a very rare find I'm sure your guy was a good worker, but not many of us would find him easy on the eye
  14. Here!! here!!! Every one wants their cars, trucks, flights for holidays, gas central heating, etc, etc…. But they want the mess of getting the energy to be some other countries problem The only people who have the right to object to fracking are those who use no fossil fuel, anyone else is just a hypocrite:thumbdown: IMO.
  15. Really sorry to hear this, it only takes a second for things to go real bad, real fast. Wishing you a swift and full recovery
  16. Yes, but if you were nailing 1" boards to a 10" beam, you wouldn't use 11" nails would you Ted?? The thread is about how much of the nail you need into the 10"beam to secure the 1" board, I believe
  17. It is a softwood, just as Balsa is a hardwood.
  18. Be the bigger man, stand by your word and pay the agreed amount. But in all honest you should have shown him the door within the first few days or moved him onto piece rate. IMO.
  19. As age has caught up with me my hair has for the most part departed, because of this my interest in hats has grown dramatically. My general choice of head gear is a leather Australian hat, to which I have become very attached. But although I share your interest in hats, on this occasion this particular hat is not really my bag
  20. Surely if some one else has taken the top off they would have finished it?? Why am I even debating this I don't even think the picture is real.
  21. Don't do it!!!!!!!!!! Rail works sucks big time!!!!!IMO.
  22. Some one has already been up there to knock the rest off.
