  1. bushnell are good scopes had one on my old .243 for a few years
  2. leopold are good but seem a lot to put on an air rifle imo. Hawke seem good for there money.simmons are rubbish in my experiance of them had them on my brno .22 bolt action they fell to bits after a while. The edgar bros ones would do your job brilliantly as previously said
  3. i have a 3.1 bouncy drive i hate it especially now its sat outside with clutch problems. Give me a disco or defender anytime
  4. ive felled trees pulled in reverse by tractors and a merlo telehandler and they grip fine i use a marlow 16mm rope attached to the tree high up with a timber hitch and onto the tractor with a loop into the pin. worked fine Ive also used my transit to help them over too i just made the god slightly deeper it seemed to help for me
  5. ive a tasco on my air rifle and my .22 and .222. On my .243 ive a smitt and bender and my .270 a ziess jehna happy with all of them Merry xmas jon

  7. those pictures of the canal horse brought back memories I used to live alongside the canal not far from those pictures
  8. i dont classify ony as we are here working as climbers,groundies etc so we all have our own qualities im just more pants than others:blushing:
  9. i wear sip freedom they have the extra protection on the calves are good to climb in and have the extra bit makes it comfy when spiking

  13. i did 5 bigish scots pines last week. i got piccies but theres always a smart arse that cant help but tell us how we do stuff wrong! Granted i do make the odd mistake but it ends up in a slagging match so why bother:sneaky2:
  14. well i decided to clean the pot up and the exhaust was full of carbon so i cleaned that and got a piston from ebay and mr treebus came and put it together for me i run it on tickover for half a tank and then cut some small stuff it ran lovely and crisp. Dont know why i didnt do it sooner its so much lighter than the 084. im happy now:thumbup1:
  15. cant beat the ole trannies the smiley ones are the best can be mended without a computer and l200 parts will be a lot dearer im guessing
  16. i just find ive spent a lot of money and then fret about keeping it safe
