  1. I have a little spirit burner called a "Storm Kitchen" I cook up Tinned Stew when its really cold.No hassels from the customers so far.
  2. I lived in Kilburn for a couple of months. There was an Elderly lady who used to haunt the Buss stops claiming her Bag had been snatched and she needed a fare home. She got me once, and the rest of my flat on the same night:lol:
  3. I have a minimum charge of about 160 Pound. This weeds out the little jobs or chancers.
  4. How did he waste your time not choosing you? If he had followed you around the Garden wearing Bra and Knickers Pinching your Bottom you likely would have not wanted to work for him. Choice goes both ways mate.
  5. Does not get enough Oil usually. The needle Point that comes with some Grease Guns will work when Greasing the Tips of Bigger Bars, some Big Saws have a manual Oiler too.
  6. Drill the end off the Rivets with a Drill larger than the Rivet Head.Punch out the rest of it,then slide off the old Tip,slide on the new one, then Hammer the Rivets Home using the new Rivets supplied with the new Tip. Its a good idea to do the Hammering on an Anvil or other suitably Stout Surface.
  7. All very good advice.Especially when it comes to Customs.
  8. Let your fingers do the walking Find Local tree services in Vancouver, BC | YellowPages.ca I just called everyone around where I was staying.Worked for me.
  9. Shame,I'd be well up for that if I was over. I even have a fetching shooting vest in Powder Blue.Save it for next time.
  10. I was told that Sthil Hand made these Bars, wether its true or not I don't know.
  11. Nah it was Pants. Long Bars usually run Full Skip Chain,Full House Chain is to much even with a 088. Here are what the terms mean. Chainsaw Chain, Sawchain information for Chainsaw Mills from Procut Sawmills When I was Logging in Canada we used Full Skip Tri File,it was the Muts.
  12. Consider bringing it to the job for the Clients use. Then they bring it back fueled up?
  13. Fair enough. But six days in a City you don't know,vs the Pacific Coast and the Redwood Trees? Car hire is stupid cheap in the States, accom is reasonable.I'd rather see small town USA,have a few Beers with the locals and see the only living wonders in the World.
  14. The best advice I got before I bought my Mog was.... "If your not mechanically minded or you have a trusted mechanic used to working on them a Mog is not for you" Sounds like you would be better served with a Tractor and Crane Trailer, you won't have any stress with Vosa by the sounds of things and Tractors are hard to break and easy to fix. Having said all that,if you must ,your money will go alot further in Germany.Or buy from a reputable dealer.
  15. 72" in the biggest I have used.
  16. On the up side. You are now capable of "Extreme Spocking"
  17. If you are new to mechanics you could have easily damaged the seal putting it in.Buy another and get another garage to do it.IF they said you need a new Diff because its leaking Oil,then Frankly they are mental. Shimmy,is like the back end of the wagon is moving side to side a little bit and rapidly. You would likely know its happening. If their is a "Clonk" when you take off,it could be the Ball Joint on the top of the rear syspension or one of your UJ's (universal joints on the Prop Shafts). Put the Handbrake on and get your mate to shove the back of the Wagon, trying to move the Body but the wheels stay still.Have a Look at the Ball joint near the top of the Diff (its been a while since I had a defender) it might be worn and is Clonking a bit. If thats not the Clonk, get underneath and grease the UJ's and grease anything else with grease nipples.
  18. Six nights in San Fran might be a bit much mate. You would be better off spending 3 nights and three nights up in the Redwoods. We really liked Fort Bragg and Ferndale. Seriously,San Fran might be your thing but unless your a Gay or a Hippy I don't think the City has enough to hold your attention for six nights.
  19. Wait till your there. Then call everyone in the phone book. Sorted.
  20. Is the Diff "Whining" like "zingzingzingzing" or do you have a "shimy" in the back end when driving? Does it "Clonk" when you take off? Get under it with the wheels chocked hand brake off and gearbox in neautral twist the rear prop shaft back and forwards. You should have a little play but not too much. If you problem is just a leaky seal at the prop shaft, you do not need a new Diff. You need a new seal. Check the Diff Oil while you are there.Unscrew the plug, pop you little finger inside,if you can feel it just under the hole its fine.If its more than an inch down, fill it up till it runs out the hole. The once the excess has run out.Put the plug back in.
  21. Go and see the real thing. You'll get up to "Avenue of the Giants" in a Day from San Fran. I was there with my missus a couple of months ago.
  22. Even if your Shotgun has Rifle sights,9 in the tube and a folding stock? Just kidding. There are some really nice repeaters that would not look out of place amongst all that Tweed and Collared Shirts.
  23. Hold the Tail of your Rope in your right hand, palm up. Run the bight between your hand and the friction hitch under your left Boot. Now you have placed friction on the Sole of your Boot and not your hitch. Go as fast as you like.No special tools required.
  24. I enjoyed that Video Matt, thanks. Do they really frown upon repeating Shotguns on Shoots like that?
