    Haven’t read everything. but maybe Beech are the exception. they don’t have the dead bark that most trees have only sometimes at the bottom trunk.

    Crazy heat for climbing . A cooling down tip is boots and socks off and feet in a bucket full of water for 10 minutes.

    You could swing the branch back towards the stem and cut it from there. be careful working on dead trees and rigging. always use the safest method.
