    NZ trials????
  10. hey deerman-what i mean is that if a branch falls onto the top of it it opens up. A scenario i discussed in oz was if the cam opened up ona top ascender (ie twig in the cam) you might pull down expecting the cam to grab but instead would pull it down onto the uni and keep it via a panic grip. Im definetly not bagging the uni, spent time on one lots and many friends here love them but i just feel its a very advanced tool that has to be treated with a lot of respect as i believe it has more potential for danger on srt than a hitch on dbrt. its a great tool in the correct hands though
  11. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPXJuRewqnY&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Head to head footlock[/ame]
  12. yep its happened to mine too bro-no idea why but mines just cosmetic damage as far as i can tell. its definetly not the shackle but something has been scraping the side like yours-bit of a mystery but im sure it will get sorted by the powers that be
  13. on a single line? this is for ascent on cammed ascenders so yes bro. tbh i would with a uni too, if a branch hits the top of it(bit of dw falls down the line) and it slides down id want a backup-im not saying im right though bro, just my opinion. i think the uni needs a bar on top to prevent accidental openage from impact and a gate to trap the rope for better fairleading-then i think it rocks for sure. i feel it justs needs to some tweaking to become awesome.

  17. its a control line bro to help balance and limit uncontrolled swing, i think thats what you mean-through the spindle?
  18. yeah ive seen that on a couple of them now mate-i can see how a shackle can get sucked up onto the pulley and damage it but i cant work out how the side gets damaged.ill try and get some pics to see if were talking about the same problem.
  19. some spliced pinto's:001_smile:
