  1. whats a fair price to tip some green waste?
  2. i started climbing when i was 33, if im still climbing when im 43 ill be happy. im going to train my son up hopefully then he can do it for me!
  3. Cows hitch never use it, must admit cuase dont know how to tie it. I know that its used for this situation, any plus or minusses??? pluses: easier to pull tight then timber hitch. minus: uses more rope, harder to open, can slip if pulled from wrong direction. To send up to the climber something like a bottle of water or something with a smooth surface and no kink for the rope to hold on to constrictor knot. If need be to pull something with the truck? What knot would you use to attach the rope to the truck? bowline on a blight. timber hitch blake loop or attach a sling to pulling line with a klemheist and about 6 wraps. What knot to join to ropes together for extra lenght. overhand bend water knot sheet bend

    from what i can see, he jumps out of the way of a falling branch, thats it.hes stood in the wrong place big time.
  7. ldv crew cab with a 2.5lt turbo tranny engine is what ive got. loads of room in the cab. havent had it long enought to comment on reliablity. 56k for £1995
  8. thanks, i didnt get a manual and have never owned or had to maintain any hedge cutters that i have used in the past. have i done them any damage?
  9. its a quiet time of year anyway so its hard to see if we are needing into one. they have been saying it for a while but we have got low unemployment and interest rates are still low compared to the last recession. fingers crossed.
  10. i got them secondhand and have only used them a few times. do you put the grease directly onto the blades?

    under pressure

    i use a timber hitch or a klemheist with 6 wraps if i have a strong sling handy.
  12. the small ones arent much cop, use but a big felling definity has its uses.
  13. mine have just started to jam for no reason? i losened all the bolts on the cutters and started them up and they worked. i retighened them and they seemed fixed but the same thing happened again today? any ideas?
  14. i only use my wire flip line full stop unless im very close to a greenhouse or roof when the end eye could crack something. i find rope landyards tangle around branched alot more then wire ones also.
  15. you know when you need to change the blades and the torx bolts are packed with wood mush that has set rock hard. any got any tips to prevent it happening? i just put aload of grease into them to see if that works but i recon the it will all fly out.

    budget ground saw

    the ms 341 is one hundred pounds cheaper with the same cc.
  18. what knot do you use when you know its going to take alot of strain eg winching, towing ect?
  19. ive also got ex uk army gorex. jacket is worn most days and ive never torn it on anything and it only cost 25 quid. gorex trousers are no good for climbing as theres no give in them. plus im scared of spiking thro them on dismantles.
