    cleaning time

thats the stuff we use and it seems to work well and feel confident on not damaging rope we have a washing machine at work:001_tongue: if using washing powder use non bio only cool wash only you will be surprised how hot the drum gets which is why pillowcase is recommended
  3. would of been good to show only 1 inch needed to cut rope shame i spent more time working out which tree it was and where what rope and which make of gloves you had on nice one pete
  4. for even thinking about the crab you deserve a brownie point looks like a small tree for a 45m rope if the anchors were sus would it not have been possible to get mewp to it especially as you own one:001_tongue:
  5. only changed it a bit but think it,s better would of liked to have seen a connector between sling and ropeguide otherwise spot on
  6. as rupe said 22KNi have been watching with interest that folk are not sure of this basic fact. makes me wonder what other simple bits of info we are unsure of and where the lack of knowledge could be addressed
  7. i once had a blade break on me but i suppose it was understandable 13mm reed bar is harder than wood

    throw lines

and i thought i was the only 1 drew if you can throw as far as my big shot i take my hat off ta ya matey
  11. rather you than me they are strong enough for what i want and cheap enough to replace although i would have thought if it made em stronger they would have done it at manufacture but NO i do not know a definative answer
  12. it always suprises me that folk pay often in excess of £10 000 for a chipper and then put non genuine blades in when after all the blades take so much hammer and do all the work Is it really worth it for a few quid? do you put cheapest oil in as well or go branded or perhaps you could save a couple more pounds and don,t buy any grease for it as well or better still never sharpen blades then you would never need to buy new ones and yes i am been sarcastic and i do not sell blades or chippers
  13. that looks just like the one in my garden Do you think it,s related. to mine
  14. you did not pay £30 for the ocean most of that was for the 2 eyes in it try getting a price for marlow with 2 splices and you will see the difference
  15. Yes i do although i obviously do not know what pulley it is most of the cast pulleys we use tend to have a 20mm bushing but certainly having to force anything in will not help especially as when you load it the split tail will actually flatten and even put more force on the sides
  16. thats a 24mm then i think which i would guess is not what your pulley should take the blue 19mm is good and goes with the 16mm lowering rope very hard to do from descriptions
  17. what colour is it matey
  18. do you not think that maybe thats not a suitable split tail i am not sure what your doing but be carefull
  19. i really like the english braid but the double esterlon is good but english braid is slightly more nicer to handle

  25. nothing is confirmed as yet but the proposals are that pole rescue will be a compulsary part of basic climbing training and will have to be assessed either your lad or the instructor got the wrong end of the stick
