  1. nice one it shows she cares looks nice as well i would choose the end of the bar first as i recon more icing to cake ratio and i do like icing HAPPY BIRTHDAY:sneaky2:
  2. nah his is way way bigger a story than that and he would of dragged it out for another month at least
  3. both 13mm ropes the gecko is made by marlow the XTC is made by yale basically the yale is a better rope and will be a nicer rope with less problems can get technical if you want but that sums it uphttp://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/climbers-talk/4360-marlowe-gecko.html loads of others on rope choices as well
  4. i have had several pairs inc the new type A with the ankle thing that seems strange never had any problems with the crotch splitting makes me feel a bit inferior tbh
  5. no but would like to see the results or a review or a demo would be good
  6. the latest pmc3 from stihl is very good tbh with only a small guard link that at first glance does not even look like anti kickback and it does not clog the kerf or cause extra drag the older pmc with the double hump was a poor chain and did not take stihl long to realise To comply with puwer you should really use anti kickback chain and for your own benifit and peace of mind Have a look at the new stihl chain and you will be supprised how good it looks and works please dont be put off by there earlier efforts

  8. Does anyone use the roller guides on sthil chain
  9. CTS I think there is something your not telling us what it is i don,t know i think you owe us a complete story i,e who did what how many men who climbed what happened to all the stuff why there is no pics how many days equipment involved contractors used and all the other bits that seem to be a bit strange to us
  10. sorry but i do hope your having a laugh which as advice to a novice i do not find that amusing:thumbdown: jonsie price 35m gecko £63 37mXTC plus £65 45m gecko £75 45m XTC plus £80 so the xtc is deffinatly a better value rope for the money
  11. buy the xtc instead of the marlow and see if you need timber tongs and tape for your cs as most dont need them
  12. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JkAvtmJL40]the official photo,s[/ame]
  13. similar to normal muffs tbh nigel did think they were warmer but it was a hot day the noise transfer was negligable and you could wisper and they would still hear i was impressed
  14. the headsets were spot on and tbh made the job do able can you imagine turning up to a big tree that needed 80% of the top lowering out and never having met the other lads on site If anyone had been watching we would of looked like we had done it all loads of times before well no problems we could just talk it all through and as soon as i had tied up a lump just tell him and he got ready then he said ready and off they came made us faster safer and was quite sociable and we could discuss the finer points and both learnt stuff and even other lads on ground could ask questions the only faults with them was a little bit of noise when he was sawing and the helmet brackets were a bit wide so the earmuff did not clamp tight enough to the ears to keep enough noise out and YES i am planning on buying a set just depends on the fittings tbh and need a definate price
  15. what ya up to sir seems a strange shopping list
