  7. as an update Tree went yesterday extension due to be built next week so just in time at least we had a nice level site to work on rather than the mud last time

  13. buy the proper stihl lube and blade cleaner worth every penny stops crud build up and lubes as well mine look like new but then i suppose they should as they are:thumbup:
  14. i believe it is down to always having 2 points of contact ie if getting to a branch would have to put a 3rd on so they could pass the branch and then back to 2 also climbers have always used screwgates and no slack allowed but dont hold me to them

  16. i would try either where you bought it from or treeworker or honey bros as they both sell the units
  17. spend under a tenner and get a new 2 or 3 way how much damage to saw and what it hits how much was your saw or even how much was your chain:lol:

  19. it towes a trailler every day so did not want a 110 and defenders are pants for sitting in the back of and if you got a new one still need forward facing seats
  20. but need to carry passengers occasionally or do they sit on the floor and wear the carpets:blushing:
  21. grey area recomended fit for purpose i would not work under someone with a snap link or an old screwgate that will vibrate loose i personally use 2 way and would recomend them i have seen several saws deck out before now

  23. yes basically if for life support every 6 months holding lowering lifting ect 12 months
  24. well done that man:thumbup: though i generally do them every 6 months as there usually in the climbing bag and end up getting missed if not
  25. can not believe it took till over 50 posts for someone to put that but i did not expect it to be you:001_rolleyes: dont tackle anything your not ready for hopefully you have a long time to get experience gradually:thumbup:
