  7. english braid or double esterlon i prefere english braid but double esterlon is more common and easily available and often cheaper try treeworker for english braid or most others sell double esterlon not a fan of the marlow tbh

  10. i think its trust that state that loler and puwer must be complied with i only say this as probably half the lads i do loler for have said it was part of there insurance requirments and i seem to think i have heard trust more than once and been asked about proof of vehicle servicing ect by same folk p.s i may be wrong

  15. the new nptc units are due to go live in November how they affect training and the industry could be a worthwhile article but will have to wait and see what has changed
  16. tree is better than no tree tbh and after the first year and folk have got used to the tree been there they seem to leave em alone and we find reducing the stake every couple of years works for us and the trees seem to put a decent enough root plate down by the time we remove them but am interested by others views and experiences
  17. we try to replant 1 for 1 stumps get left at just above knee height or as pieces of timber till a days worth and stats obtained and if needed kerbs removed then we try to grind and highways follow up reinstating claims are a big issue these days we do our own replanting and have a good take other than vandals but now use 7 ft posts to stop them snapping the tops off above the ties which did make a difference to vandals last year 300ish new street trees:001_rolleyes:
