1. Muck Sharp asked me to thank you and Nick for helping out of a dark spot last Friday. Much appreciated! I'll let Nick know tomorrow. Hi to Claire, enjoy the break!!!

  2. Well done on the re-vamp Steve! Well worth the effort and hassle in pulling it off!

  3.
Saw it earlier today. Originally belonged to Pete Mole, parked up as scrap and was in Globals spot awaiting to be scrapped! But they got it going again! Look at the size of the wheels, a real low rider! Belongs to a traveller in Brum.

  4.

And the very best to you and yours you vulgar ****!

Now tell me about South West Trees and Lloyd's at Dumfries. You promised to be there with the parts and a loan machine on Wednesday???

  5.
Yes thanks, in a less touristy area with farmhouse food and the noise of goats, sheep, chickens, trkeys and yapping dogs mixed in with the sound of surf! 29 during the day 20 plus at night! Mythos beer is cold too! On the coast south of Skaloti on the south closer to Africa! Had to come through the Imbros gorge again in the dark again. What a ride! Of skinny dipping today! You lot okay?

  6.
Any time buddy!

  7.
Hi Stewart, yes, they are all EU homolageted. I have the feeling that you will cause me some grief by trying to source one here again - am I correct? Cheers.

  8.
Big Stu! How the devil are you? Hope all is well in your life.....Give my regards to Doug and Liz.....

Hey John, i could probably get one emailed out early next week. The 202 went out of production some 15 years ago so may be in paper format only and from memory, was pretty lightweight without parts manual, wiring plan or workshop instructions other than blade changing. Pete

  10.
Which model and what is the serial number? You'll probably get a dust cap from your local trailer people. I fitted a cap off of a spraycan once as a temp measure!

  11.
Ill be prepared to bring one or two out under no obligation for you to have an honest look at....07774 282481.

  12.
Does your boss want to try a GreenMech, Platts at Darley Dale are your nearest dealer. Keith Millington is the rep to talk to there....

  13.
If she senses through the alternator, it still takes voltage pulses per revolution but more of them! If you have a green light, speed is being sensed (does it change to red if the revs are dropped?), so 12v should be sent to the solenoid. I'm no mechanic, but sensing through the alternator is many times faster and more reliable and it isn't a special alternator but I could not tell you how it works exactly!

  14.

If you have a green light and 12v at the solenoid, hold a light screwdriver to the end of the solenoid - it should he magnetised. If it isn't, then your coil maybe buggered.

cheers.

Sounds like an electrical issue. Check the wiring from the box, from inside, through to the Hershman plug on the solenoid. It should get 12v at max speed which drops off as the revs drop. The light should be green at working speed, if it is still red, it is not receiving a signal from the alternater or the sensor on the flywheel bearing depending on age. The sensor takes pulses off a bearing collar and should have a indicator light to show it is registering a pulse. The gap between the lugs on the collar and the sensor can be from 1.5mm to 6mm I believe. Try looking at these for a result.

Rich, I've forgotten my login for this section, please cut and paste this response. Cheers

Hey Jim! Hope you are good and things going well! The best thing to do is phone the office on01789 400044 and ask for Mac or Jason. Be with you machine and they will talk you through it. Cheers! Pete Bagguley.

  17.
Hey Steve! Hope you and yours are well....I recently started a news thread about Godfrey's open day next week. Any sign of it being added? Cheers...

  18.
Hi, a call to the GreenMech service team of Mac and Jason on 01789 400044 would resolve it! I'm pretty sure that the bottom anvil has a chamfer on each end and is effectively wedged into place.

  19.
Mr Wilkinson! Good to hear from you! If the tank is leaking from one of the brass insert fittings then replacing is the only alternative I'm afraid Tony. I'll contact Balmers to get an idea on price on monday! Best regards Pete.

  20. Hi Dan, you are on the list! I'll let you know what the date is in a few days. Cheers

Sorry Sir, I got tour PM but got side tracked by events as I've just got back from a weekend. Send my your mobile and I'll call you soon after 08:00 tomorrow. Cheers.

  22. Hey Steve, hope all is well with you and yours. Can you send me the details of the firm that held the auction for the Treeworks effects. They had a banner on your site for a bit.

    Ta!

  23. Mr Murdoch! How the devil are you, hope things are getting well with you. Last time we spoke you were experiencing some trauma - not ongoing still I hope. I understood Martins had got out of deveg - so have Fountains for the time being too. Where are you based nowadays? Welcome to the Arbtalk experience.

    Cheers

    Pete

  24. Hi Rich,

your after another Pete, you need Pete from Ely with the white truck in his avatar! I work for GreenMech, flogging their woodchippers! Say "Hi" to Pete when you get him - he is a good chap to deal with.

    Cheers

    Pete

  25. Hey Steve

I just tried to respond to the tech centre thread from "greg", it will not let me. Could you change that to allow me the priviledge please.

Hope things are good with you.

    Regards

    Pete Bagguley
