  4. at least its good stuff to chip with your 13/75 richard. do you chip straight into your trailer or into 1 ton bags?

will he be running skip or semi skip chain on that though ed?
  6. count me in, it would look good with my new trousers!
  7. you need bulk to shift bulk! said at every opportunity to large people I work with.
  8. ive heard good things about nissan cabstars. it depends on what size you need. i need 4x4 alot where i work so i run an L200 tipper but fancy a 130 landrover next.
  9. my groudies are on £60 and £100 per day both self employed. both are great at the job. i wouldnt use a poor groundie (false economy). if i sub for someone as a climber its between £180 to £200 sometimes more depending on what im doing. im flexible on that though.
  10. i run my stihl 341 on .325 and my 361 on 3/8. steve why did you get a 341? the 361 is the sameweight and more powerful just a little bit more expensive. my 341 was VERY cheap so got it as another back up.
  11. thanks everyone especially the judges and sponsors and steve, congrats to the other winners aswell.
  12. im on the original spikes. i like them, they did take some getting used to though.
  13. i've never spiced a rope in my life. jamie has spliced a few for me though and i am more than happy with his work.
  14. my big bro had a crash in a van like that. how he still has both his legs i dont know. drive safely! if you wanna sell the cherry picker i'll make you an offer.
  15. ive got a shiny dust cap that would finish your hilux off nicely.
  16. couple of pics from today. sorry about the picture quality. the 1st is a great example of a morecambe pruning cut.
  17. i use my ms660 up a tree quite alot. used my mates 88 in a tree once, not looking forward to the next time.
  18. first aid kit, wire strop, redirect pulley and tape sling, rocker, cambium saver and a pantin. but got plent of toys in my kit bag.
  19. yeah id go 460 aswell, or husky 372xp (probably changed model numbers now) depends on how much your gonna need a big saw. round my way there is very little you couldnt do with a 25" bar.
  20. i did 2 hours this morning, felled 7 x 24" sycamores cut all the big branches off and left the rest for the customer to deal with. spent the rest of the day looking at jobs. my motto charge more do less!
  21. what sort of wood are you going to be cutting?
  22. apart from an ms200t i wouldnt use a stihl saw smaller than an ms361 or ms 341 if i had to, even with a 15" bar. if its running on .325 i could make you up a semi skip chain that should help stop it from bogging down.
  23. lmao bob. its funny cos its true
  24. "v.t's fail to grab and do need to be watched....yet no one tells us not to use them, why is that?" because you've only yourself to blame if it goes wrong.
  25. does a vt fail safe? are we the only industry using prussiks still?
