  1. Another dirty load away today, this time poplar.
  2. I've got an Auer 260 on my Hiab 085. It opens to 5', I'd say it's the perfect size for what I do at the moment. I swap the grab for chains on the really big stuff. http://www.acprice.co.uk/second-hand-equipment/auer-large-timber-grab-260
  3. Nice truck roseyweb What model palfinger is it? What are your plans for it?
  4. You should of called in. Did you see the tree from the road? The trucks been great this year, it's been out loads. What have you been looking at?
  5. It was off with the grab this morning and time to chain some timber in to the back. All timber shifted and site cleaned up and took the lads for a quick pub lunch. Big thanks to Steve Walker and Tom Booth for their hard work.
  6. Yeah it's a little Kanga. Just handy for shifting the odd bit. A clean site is a happy site. The Hiab and grab is what won the job, everyone else who priced it was going to cut it into discs.
  7. Yesterday and today's job. Just the main stem to shift tomorrow.
  8. I think my 13 ton iveco is about £165 a year.
  9. They charged me £25 delivery for a fuel cap about 13 years ago. I've never used them since.
  10. Did Mr Ed help build that chipper?
  11. Graham Fawcett has just taken the crane off one of his tracked Jensens. Might be worth seeing what he's doing with it.
  12. This is the drop down section you were asking about Billy.
  13. It just takes a few minutes, pipes are colour coded as well so it's really easy.
  14. I live in Bentham so always going past Atkinson Vos. It was an ugly load I had on.
  15. That section is hinged and comes off. It's in the tool box at the moment. I'll try and get some better pictures of it this week.
  16. Thursday's Beech removal. Steve Walker climbed, I ran the ropes, Tom and Pete chipped and logged up.
  17. Shifting a few bits of Beech on Friday morning. The second 2 photos are the bottom section it was just over 4.5 foot across.
  18. What model Palfinger is that Billy? Your truck will only be a couple of inches wider than mine (just the wheel arches I think) and on bigger wheels.
  19. Yeah it was already piped up. Got the grab, rotator and crane link from A.C.Price. really happy with it.
  20. I got a 13t Iveco with a Hiab last April. It's an old girl but still plenty of life left in her. If I was to replace it I'd prefer one with a rear mounted crane and more reach.
  21. Used to be a dealer in Carnforth. They looked really well made when I saw them.
  22. My Iveco is just under 8' wide. The body is 8'x14'x6' approximately. Tax is £165 a year. I haven't got a clue what it does fuel wise. Mine is A 13t not a 7.5t though.
  23. Bit of a trek but Lowe maintenance in Settle do LOLER inspections. http://lowe-maintenance.co.uk
  24. Lowe maintenance at Settle do LOLER inspections.
  25. Can he not claim off your employers liability Hodge?
