  1. if the poop hit the fan it would be better and easier to cut the potentially 10m length of rope rather than messing around trying to cut 4inches of soft link close to my harrness
  2. umm why? the rope is as easy to cut as a soft link

  9. well thats basically the bare bones of it. different tissue boundries form reaction zones that produce chemical barriers that resist infection. the strength of the barriers depends on there location.
  10. dr alex shigo produced a model if you like,to explain how a tree has 4 walls of resistance to the entry of pathogens, the 1st wall being the weakest and the 4th being the strongest.the walls effectively create compartments to stop/trap the pathogen infection

  19. ive been thinking the same thing mate, been contemplating getting anew hank of arbormaster. i do have some but it hasnt got a splice(since another climber cut it off when we were both in the tree) and i dont really like climbing on knots(far to untidy)

  23. carbon geckos are great, had mine 2 1/2 yearsor there abouts, solved the problem of the slippy straps with a coupole of cable ties, but reckon im going to give your method a go matty
