i agree,it is the ideal saw saw to have next to the chipper
  2. thanks for putting that up pete, couldnt work out how to do it
  3. check magicseaweed.look at the weather charts, projected swell heights and wind directions, choose spots that work under different winds that are close to each other. join the national trust for cheap car parking(when surfing multiple spots its amazing how quickly the nt car parking charges add up.read the storm rider guide, this will tell you what spots work under conditions and explore
  4. got a call from a contractor just as i was about to get in the truck to go and meet him to say the job was called off due to the awfull weather(why does the phone never ring before you get out off bed)geeked out on arbtalk for a few hours, went and checked the non existant surf.had a barney with the misses. worried about my first day subbying today for a firm ive never worked for before

  8. yeah there really good, isc sent some stuff down to try,and that krab was on of the things.it seems to align nicely, and seems easier to clip/unclip.much better than using a conventional krab on your lanyard imo.using that with one of iscs mini krabs and the art positioner is in my opinion the best lanyard setup ive tried
  9. il be getting a new lanyard and hopefully getting my isc krab with swivel spliced on...and many other fun new things
  10. very interesting
  11. never really found it a problem, saws usually travel in the back along with fuel, but if i have to stop somewhere i pop them behind the seats,
  12. ive got a single cab mazda, and theres plenty of space behind the seats,i can get a large ground saw, climbing saw, climbing and rigging kit,and other bits and pieces easily behind the seats.
  13. very true,i never thought of that.the problem is because it was a small job(only 3 hours) by halfway through i was allredy thinking about the next tree of the day and getting tidied up as quick as possible
  14. Some devious target planning there by Nod made for a good challenge. yeah the target at the top seemed like a right pain
  15. the money just wasnt in the job to pay for it(200),the spec was mainly to make safe as the la was worried about the dead wood over the road, the customer didnt even really want the work done.but was doing it to stop the la's health annd safety issues
  16. sorry about the sideways photos again
  17. todays dead oak.nice to leave this one as habitat.dont often get the oppertunity round these parts

  20. ver simple,very quick,almost pointless crown balance
  21. few pics from a job i did last week.2 thirds of which had to be lowered over a listed wall
