Yes I will probably die of a heart attack, but It'll be worth it! once a fortnight I cook this and its good VERY good, serve it with chapatis and a salad delicious I don't have a pressure cooker so I fast boil the meat in an ordinary large stock pot, with tin foil under the lid to keep the steam in, I add a little water, enjoy...... 11. A bit too much hassle TBH as I'd have to collect money up front before we went, but if enough turn up I'm sure we could ask at the kiosk for a discount.. The long trip would be worth it mate, although only a small group braved the weather last Kew visit we all had a good time, and the company was second to none, you could always make a long weekend of it in London, plenty of reasonable priced hotels ie Premier Travel Inns near by
  12. Maybe a Autumn visit to Cambridge could be arranged in fact its a good idea, but for now lets stick to Kew please......

  17. Thanks Rich should be nicer weather for the kids in May, and the trees should be at a more interesting period. I was thinking we could have a picnic and let the kids play, or if raining head back to the pub.....

  20. A few years ago a few Arbtalk members went to Kew for a close to Christmas meet, it was a great day if a little wet [ok understatement it poured] we did a quick soggy walk around the arboretum, this included stopping off for refreshments in the cafe. We then headed to a very nice pub to dry out by a nice fire and sink a couple of jars and enjoy nice meal, it was nice making new friends with something in common. So I thought I'd organise another trip for the 14th of May 2011, we will meet at the rear entrance at 11am, everyone welcome, WAGS friends and children. If I can get an idea of numbers I'll see if we can get a guide to take us???? Below are some pictures of our soggy Christmas visit some years ago
  21. whats this LOLER all about then
  22. that would clean up lovely, I'd try and get that sooner rather than later Josh, or it'll probably end up in somebody else's hands or worse scrapped! how I'd win it would be by playing the love affair Brits have with all things Husky, and how you will lovingly restore it and never sell it............ I personally wouldn't ever sell it
