  1. Cool vids Deva.
  2. Hi Kevin, european chippers tend to be a lot more sophisticated than their US counterparts. If you were to compare a 6" schliesing to your 65 bandit, the german built chipper would out perform it in every way. the down side is cost. what you pay over here for a 6" euro machine would buy you an 80hp 12" machine stateside.
  3. Imo there not much use for anything. (and yes, I have owned them)
  4. Dont get me started on social healthcare and crap government! Why oh why the government is allowed to stick its nose into the NHS I dont know.
  5. I had a 110 hicap, but I had a high comp 4.2i V8 in mine. Detroit lockers, 35" mud grabbers, procomp suspension. Had it sprayed in battle grey and a black cage al la Tomb raider style. quite a beast. Sold it to a local guy, who sold all the trick bits, and it now moulders away behind a land rover dealers workshop. sad end.
  6. Welcome Tassie Pete!
  7. No flaming here mate. We've all got our opinions, and we can agree to disagree.
  8. Anglesey, on the Menai straits.
  9. Ever noticed how fresh fish does'nt smell? Get mackrels from a supermarket, or if we freeze them, they smell of fish (surprize surprize). I love codling and Bass, we get great ones up here.
  10. Bts...?
  11. I would get the 365, and work that Zubat... Oh, and my 395's blow away any 660. not that the stihl is a bad saw, but the 395 is better. You may argue this, but you will not change the facts
  12. Sorry, but I feel the opposite. Have to have a certificate to buy a chainsaw? talk about nanny state government. Maybe its the libertarian in me, but what business is it of the government whether I want a chainsaw for use on my property? I would like to turn the clock back 30 years to when you could buy without any licence - firearms, ammo, dynamite, paraquat, incendiary's, have a hgv licence on grandfathers rights, burn off brash anywhere you wanted, have a few pints before driving home, work a chainsaw without being forced to wear PPE.... Think I'm going to emigrate to the US
  13. My good lady got some fresh mackrel off the beach last week, cooked with a bit of butter and herbs. but raw? only thin sliced salmon with lemon juice.
  14. I tried Pete Mctree's the other day. Really liked the top pad design, and pete has replaced the 'funny' gaffs with conventional ones. I have the Titanium bashlins, but I would like to retro fit them with the Gecko pads. Prefer my buckles to the bottom velcro pads.
  15. Sounds good salsb. I would'nt mind trying a pair of type c's.
  16. Mr Ed

    Chips

I NEVER give away chips. Arb chips I always pile up in a big heap and turn for a season till they rot down. Then I charge £100 a load for them. never any shortage of takers either.
  17. Bleagh. shoulda gone for the cummins
  18. Rob, does that have the straight 6 cummins? what sort of fuel consumption?
  19. I would imagine they would need serious local anasthetic for that, or some kind of meditation technique.
  20. Thanks Dan. Welcome to Arbtalk.
  21. So thats how you use a shunt...
  22. Yah gross! imagine enjoying some ladeeze and coming accross this site:vollkommenauf:
  23. So do I. If we take it to its logical conclusion, eventually, I shall be paid one million dollars for staying in bed
  24. Yup. woke at 5.30, heard the rain hammering on the roof, and decided to do some indoor work.
  25. so-so. Mike would have a better idea than me, but 600 hours is a lot on a TW. Has it had new bearings and a new mainshaft? if not, it will probably need them before long...
