  1. Great post. I am a big fan of managing veteran trees, and am a firm believer of regular topping as a mangement plan.
  2. Is it possible to incorporate your DdRt system onto the top ascender? Laz, would'nt mind popping over sometime to see this system. You still in Porthmadog?
  3. Great advice Hayden. If you look at the 1260, the other thing they do is increase the size of the top roller and shrink the size of the bottom roller. The top roller does most of the work, and a smaller bottom roller will have more torque at its circumference.
  4. I can get 4 tonnes (11m3)in my 7.5 tonner, I can pull a 2 tonne chipper whilst fully loaded and still get 20+mpg, carry all my tools and kit, and even pull a 3.5 tonne trailer without it bashing me around. I bet I can get it into places a transit wont go either, as I have a far superior steering lock.
  5. Thats 35cwt in itself.
  6. A 7.5 tonner will carry 2.5 times what a 3.5 tonner will legally, and will return better economy as its doing it. Considering how big the fine and points are for overloading, I think breaking the law to save money is daft. You'll be crying in your beer when you get the £1800 fine for being 250kgs overweight:thumbdown:
  7. Nice work Paolo, looks a fantastic way to access the crown, and the gear folds away neater than a ladder.
  8. Nope, I must have overwritten it trying to find it in other files.
  9. William S. Burroughs Bug powder dust and mugwump Jism!
  10. Hello Nod.
  11. Thanks, I'll try that. Got a couple of laptops so might find it.
  12. We need Treespydie!
  13. Now take out all the mountains and water area, the bogs marshes and rivers, the motorways and roads, beaches, shingles and estuary's, industrial concreted area's, runways, and other ungrowable area's... I think there are far to many people on this island, and its only oil that allows the population to be fed. Once we loose the ability to ship in cheap food, Britain will face a large percentage of its population dying of starvation very quickly.
  14. not in recycle bin, and I was making amendments to the one file that I have printed, as its out of date. I could ammend the copies with a biro, but thats so unproffesional...
  15. Whilst organizing my H&S files today, I inadvertantly wiped my health and safety policy:scared1: Has anyone got an electronic copy I can use as a base template? I have mine on paper, but I dont want to type up the whole damn thing again...
  16. John, the other very neat solution I have seen is a 4 tonne site dumper fitted with timber bolsters in replacement of the skip. They will go anywhere, and are cheap and dead simple to work on. I have even seen them turned into mini forwarders with the addition of a small crane and the seat and steering reversed through 180 degrees. The other method, and my favourite is the 4 tonne tracked dumper - VERY light on the ground, and will go anywhere - (ignore the slow skidsteer driver - I had got off to take the video) [ame]http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-397688928513248053&q=tight+and+wet&ei=K5tGSP6hOKWOiAKJktDQDA&hl=eN[/ame]
  17. I have these plans on my PC, you could easily downscale them for quad use. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sawmill-bandmill-firewood-log-loader-trailer-plans-weld_W0QQitemZ140238465268QQihZ004QQcategoryZ61788QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
  18. At the top of the page - User CP> Edit Signature > This will allow you to insert your signature. If you want it as a web address, it will automatically hyperlink.
  19. Looks like a lot of work to get accredited...?
  20. Bloody hell. whats that all about then?
  21. I think his question was perfectly natural. This is a Forum where people discuss things and ask questions. YOU on the other hand have not been straight about your business from the start, despite being asked repeatedly. We have no problem with you being a dealer, but declare your interests as such.
  22. Surreal? Like DJ portia surreal?
  23. I am cultivating a nice big veggie garden, Chickens are coming this week, piggies to follow. We are also putting in a wind turbine in the near future. The trouble will start when those who have none and are starving (because tesco's is empty) start to cast there envious glances at what your doing... Rural France would be a pretty good place to be.
  24. Yeah, I'll be a dab hand with a chainsaw Seriously though, its the transition period that worries me. I am SOOO glad I live tucked right out of the way of any population centers.
