  1. They done teach that in college! Real tree work Tom, nicely done:thumbup1:
  2. All credit due. Not too many would take that challenge!
  3. Cheers Rich, brightened my evening! All the ragging about this job prepared you for a nightmare, but not so bad was it really? All things considered, now you've done one, bet you will be more confident another time:thumbup1:
  4. Will do Adam, sounds like there's a story in there, and he loves a yarn! I think Jim is a member on here, but cant remember his user name. Think it was ArborJim or something:001_huh:
  5. Swampy, there is only one part number for the carb on my pdf, worldwide.
  6. Sound lad. Done my kit for almost 10 years now.
  7. Had a look and found the part number for full carb if you end up going down that route; 1137 120 0600
  8. I have done the job, so know whats involved. Therefore I will look forward to the frustrations on someone elses face:lol:
  9. Rich, I think, just for the entertainment of the masses you should video the whole thing. Just see it as helping others, imagine the smilie faces there will be watching your rebuild:thumbup::lol:
  10. 1129 180 1500 Have fun fitting it though! Lol!
  11. No worries Simon, didnt know your user name on here. You can always take your kit up to Jim and he will do it for you, but will be a treck for you I think. Can you not just have it looked at by a "competant person" until the next scheduled one at Ians?
  12. You CAN get parts from your dealer! If they argue, just ask them for parts for a MS192. It is a current saw and only difference to the "t" is the handles set up. If they still wont play ball, let me know and I'll give you the oem part numbers. You can then just give them the part numbers and they will order them, even the handle parts.
  13. Its more to do with airflow. Its a big no no according to regs. In practical terms, only way to know is to try it, then deal with the concequencies.
  14. If you dont get fixed up, let me know. A group of us meet our inspector in Newport just North of the river if you're interested. Its a wait till its done and take home type set up.
  15. Very nice to see. Cheers for sharing. Interesting to see the camera shake. Not when the timber left the tree, but the shake off the ground when it lands! Great!
  16. It was bordering bullying. Slightly along the same lines of some young pup going to the pub once coming of age, and drinking with his older hill billy "mates" and deciding to "create the nights entertainment" by picking on the group uni students in the corner by hurling abuse. Then again, as Butler says, perhaps it wasnt meant to read the way it did, but then again, perhaps his hill billy mates should have shown him the error of his ways. We can all say or write one thing, then blatently make out it was meant in jest.
  17. Couple of useful links there Ian, thanks for sharing:thumbup:
  18. Ok, Ive looked into this. It appears to me the seller is straight, although he has used your picture? I know its cheeky, copying the pic etc, but have I missed something else?
  19. It does make a huge difference, so anything around the 800 quid mark with a 23 year old on it cant be bad. Especially given that a tipper can be commercial, or modified depending on the company.
  20. You got any young(under 25's) drivers on it Jon?
  21. Following around 25 years of hunting for the best firewood to burn at home, such as oak, hawthorn, fruitwood etc, last year I almost sold out of hardwood and persuaded the wife I had to bring some "horrible stuff" home as that was all I could accept burning on our stove. Mixed willow and leylandii was "the best we've ever had" said the wife. Goes to show I wasted my time all these years!
