  1. Sharing the wife with this guy could have been an option instead of my sannis, but i recon he would be too skeered of her!
  2. Ham salad, lookin at the size of him, and the speed he ate it, you would say he`s not eaten for a month!
  3. Ok, for the last couple of days, had a contract climber in (won`t mention his name on here though). Got off to a bad start, his car broke down, I then ran this guy arout like a taxi service, put him onto a reasonably priced garage near me, sorted his car. The job itself was easy peasy, so he spent most of both days lazing around chattin, managed to do a crown clean on one tree in the two days. He supped lots of coffee, had loads of ciggy breaks and was well chilled for the duration. All this i can cope with, even giving refills on his flask, after all it was lovely weather for hanging around outside chillin, but, the last straw came when he ate my lunch! I mean, how low can someone get, to eat another working mans sannis? The issue is now, should i pay him, was the lunch incident a step too far?
  4. I would climb on one like that, in fact i do:blushing: I think all my ropes have some scars, but if you are so worried, use another till its checked out
  5. Sure, i get what you say but it will need the 60 million "joe bloggs" to spend the money to get that £750,000,000 in your quote. I guess time will tell, or as they say in yorkshire "the proof`ll be in the puddin". I shall wait with baited breath from the 1st December to see the u-turn in the economy:closedeyes:
  6. I did notice on the news lastnight one guy on the street who was interviewed, said he would buy a new TV and computer games on the money he saves this xmas. Just goes to show how much the hipe can mislead people, I mean, come on, how much do people really think they are going to save? One thing i did notice with the new tax changes was that VAT reductions will be until the end of 2009, but, it will be paid for in parts by increased income tax, duty on fuel, tobacco and alcohol etc but these increases will be PERMANENT!
  7. And they say this will kickstart the economy! I`m affraid £12.50 off a £500 item is hardly going to sway anyones decision is it? Just utter madness.
  8. I recon a couple of trailer loads of that oak would look real good next to my log heap Dean:sneaky2:
  9. Ditto! Trouble with me is, i just started advertising in a few village mags:scared1: Phone already gone crazy, i recon ill be sold out this week:ohmy:
  10. I know its a bit early to plan any work Pete, but if it helps, you are welcome to a 200 and a 360 of mine for a couple of weeks if you are stuck.
  11. Unbelievable! Real sorry for you Pete, I know how busy you are at the moment. Hope you catch them and get the kit back. Some of the scum today!
  12. Viewing a thread like this gets you a bit jelous if you aint got one:sad:
  13. Probably the best firewood possible in my opinion. Recon it must be worth near twice as much as any other firewood, but if i ever get chance of it on a job it wouldnt go for sale, it would be on my own special heap:sneaky2:
  14. Cheers Dave, first two brackets on one tree, second on a log about 5 years fallen butt and the latter pics on another two trees. All the trees are within 20 meters of each other. The woodland/shelterbelt is approx 240 years old, so i suppose the old beech are entitled to a few ailments!
  15. Oops, think they are a bit big! Hope these are better; [/img] [/img]
  16. After a walk in my Dads wood a couple of weeks ago i clicked a few pics. All on and around beech. Not a clue on names but here goes:blushing:;
  17. Just curious Matty, whats the strange gob out from, to the left of the saws? Hydraulic wedge possibly?
  18. Looks great what i`ve seen so far steve. Did spot i have no friends though, oh well, no change there:001_cool:
  19. Lol! They do say they are very tasty when young. Not sure my 3 year old would agree though!
  20. Think a few might have seen this pic, but its enough for me to make having dogs worthwhile
  21. Had your leg humped by a rampant jack russel by any chance?
  22. Looks nasty pete, hope you are ok.
  23. Careful Kev, you're starting to sound like a yorkireman! Lol:up:
  24. About two hours ago, while taking my daughter to the park to have a go on the swings before it got dark, i bumped into a customer who has been threatening me with other quotes, this is after accepting mine and me getting permission to take down 3 tpo'd larch for her. She presented me with "oh, im glad i caught you, you can forget about the conversation we had the other day about the other quote, we would like you to go ahead anyway. I thought between christmas and new year would be good while i'm on holiday"! So i replied "Oh, no problem, i'll just take two days off from my holiday to come and do it for you, i'm sure my 3 year old daughter wont mind"! Need i say, i have not had a customer relation type sunday either:mad1:
  25. Now that must be the most royal of firewood. Im jelous:sneaky2:
