  1. Could have been very, very serious, Pete could easily have mamed himself or worse still, even killed himself. Just imagine that............................. Who would we take the mick out of then:001_tt1:
  2. Cheers Bob, I`ll get a pic tomorrow and post it.
  3. Oh, and nice splices by the way Jamie, i take it its some of your fine work?
  4. Please dont take offence mate, we are well aware you are giving an opinion, same as everyone else, thats the whole idea of the forum. Newer members such as yourself are welcomed because of the chance of fresh opinions and input, so please keep it coming! What comes out of debate is often useful to many, and in this case its purely personal preference. I, for instance have been running my line through a pulley attached with a biner, and through large ring of the cambium saver. Does that sound like i could be using the biner incorrectly? Open to anyones views:confused1:
  5. I believe there is a little confusion in descriptions here between friction saver and cambium saver. The way i see it, its like Jamie says these leather types are fine for protection, but when adding a pulley to a cambium saver it then becomes a friction saver! Big difference:001_cool:
  6. Last time i got some kit that way, i only paid postage from btrac to me. They still charged same price as sherrills for the kit too.
  7. If that was easy access it would have been a great job. Must have been nice climbing and murder on the floor. I hope all the crew got a big pat on the back after it!
  8. Sorry to hear adam, hope all goes well and heals quickly.
  9. Please, please mate, dont fall into the trap of "i know lots of people who overload". Overloading is illegal and most of all unsafe! Excuses like we dont go far, and its only 10 miles make no difference. There is NO grey area, overloading is overloading!

    Back op

All the best Justin, gettin close now! Bet you`re starting to brick it! Dont woory about the op, just think of all that personal attention that follows! Oh, and by the way the rope bags are spot on. Cheers Justin.
  11. I believe you are right steve, i did a lot of looking before buying one and maybe got lucky, but i also believe ebay is subject to a lot of inaccuracies on many products:sneaky2: I did see one(identical to mine) in a well know arb catalogue at £99+vat:scared1: From what i understand 5mW is the largest legal in this country under most applications. E-bays rules stipulate maximum power rating of 1mW to be sold through them but you can find ones on there upto 500mW:scared1:
  12. Mmm, did wonder about that but not many modern tractors have ground speed pto now, and it would be pure luck for the speed of the pto to be the same as the drive shaft on the axles(it not being an ag trailer). No doubt Andy will put us right......
  13. Mmmm, just noticed something funny going on with the quotes, i actually quoted andy, but it came up quoting yorkshireman.....puzzled, but doesnt take much!
  14. Andy, just curious really, how does the drive work on the trailer? Is it PTO driven, if so, how do you go on for regulating your forward speed so as not to wind up the PTO on the tractor? Sorry for quizzin, im ex agric you see:sneaky2:
  15. Ive had it out in strong sunlight and its easily visible in the tree from 50m or so from the tree. When i was looking at buying one, all the info seemed to suggest green lazers are more than twice as visible as red ones of the same strength. It does have a good distance, and obviously its more visible in less light but often at great distances you need a steady hand!
  16. Got myself one of these from scaryBay a couple of weeks back after getting hacked off pointing into trees when with a customer. You know when the conversation goes "yeh, that branch with the small twigs on it":mad1: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1mW-GREEN-LASER-POINTER-PEN-HIGH-POWER-BRAND-UK-SELLER_W0QQitemZ260353284666QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Gadgets?hash=item260353284666&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1690%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1308 Great little thing, should have had one years ago. Only downside i found so far is, operating temp is 15-35 deg C. Still works at low temp but not as bright, soon warms up in your hand though.
  17. Count me in for a couple of rope bags Justin, 1 small, 1 large. PM sent.
  18. Even i`d get lost in a pair of them:closedeyes: Would be interested in a good jacket in XXL if you find one at right money Justin
  19. Dont think theres any plans for a replacement just yet, it was just to let me know there was no point waiting for the later type caps to come out on the 660!
  20. Hey Frank, i thought you would know John Naylor? Now he`s a tree feller in a landy if there ever was a stereotype:scared1:
  21. Nice disco, but can you still get 20 bags of logs in it like the DBL cab?
  22. From what i gathered when i bought mine, there are so many old castings, they wont put new style caps on till they bring out the replacement for the 660! Both style caps have pros and cons so its not such a big thing having screw ons. At least the 660`s caps are the large ones so they are easier to grip when opening.
  23. Really good to watch, and very competant as a first attempt. All looked very controlled. Like the massive heap of kids toys in the corner. But they werent as tidy as that when you first got there! Lol.
  24. Just put a search on t-bay for "024 piston", it might give you an idea on cost of parts. Depends what it needs though
