  1. So have you had to buy one of those big machines that do the final bury in order to guarantee consistency?
  2. Get some made up by a signmaker. Send them the jpeg file and they do the rest.
  3. How about if wood burner boiler heats lower coil in a double coil insulated tank, then the radiator circuit runs through the top coil. Combi runs as normal, but when you fire up the wood burner the insulated tank acts as a heat exchanger to heat the water in the radiator circuit. Thermostat in the cylinder activates a pump to circulate the water in the radiator circuit whenever the cylinder is hot.
  4. I think you could do it with an accumulator tank, although it kind of defeats the object of the combi boiler.
  5. Essentially you need a heat exchanger, as you cant run the same water through the combi boiler as the log burner boiler. Have you looked at the Dunsley Neutraliser?
  6. Well, a trailer should be slightly nose heavy. Most tow bars are only rated to between 50 and 100 kgs over here though, so it is a fairly narrow margin. I'm sure you have different rules over there though.
  7. Yes, as type a but with extra protection to the left side of the legs.
  8. Go for it then, opportunities like that don't come along too often. You will need employers liability insurance, public liability is up to you, but it is a selling point.
  9. 20 road cones maybe?
  10. It looks nose heavy because the axle looks like its behind the centre of balance, directly under the drum, with only the infeed hopper behind the axle to counterbalance the engine. I'm sure Bandit know what they are doing though!
  11. Depends on the product. If it is PPE that your life depends on, then it needs a CE for legal reasons that are far to boring to go into here. Other kit, rigging gear or wedges or rakes, then go to town!
  12. Looks a little nose heavy? Love the crush ram on the feed rollers though.
  13. I think you need some air in those front Tyres!
  14. Spikes with an automatic wound paint dispenser for pruning jobs.
  15. You're in the realm of science fiction there mate!
  16. Rocket boots and some kind of laser pruning tool.
  17. 2 groundies and 2 stepladders then! Nice work if you can get it, if I could make that kit pay for itself I would buy every toy under the sun!
  18. Did you buy all that kit especially for that job? There must be more gear there than the job was worth. If I did those kinds of jobs all the time, then investing in all the gear would be worthwhile, but since they only come up once a year (if that) then I find it is more cost effective to say, cut and chuck into the garden and employ 2 extra groundies to throw it over the fence. (Not saying that is what you should have done, just an example)
  19. On the cover taper I dont bother marking, just cut the strands as I count them.
  20. Or use the GRCS....
  21. How about if the victim is significantly heavier than rescuer, and unconscious/unable to assist?
  22. Nice set up. I would have a biner both ends though, as the minute that top biner is unclipped I can see the ring disappearing into the brash, and reappearing in the chipper!
  23. I use it when I have just one lump that needs balancing, and its not worth getting the rest of the gear sent up.
  24. You can also set up a quick 2 leg balancer with no extra gear at all. Pull a fair bit of rigging line to you, set the first anchor point with a half hitch, run straight to the second anchor point, another half hitch, and then tie the tail back onto the standing part of the rigging line to make the second leg of the balancer. I have a biner on my rigging line, so I use a marlin spike hitch and spike the biner through it for the final knot, although you could equally use a friction hitch. Quick, easy and secure. You do need a fair bit of line to do it though, so make sure there is enough left over to lower the piece all the way to the ground!
  25. Its a special setting for the older members!
