  1. That big drag rig is very cool. I'm guessing most of your gum timber gets landfilled?
  2. I thought MEWP stood for My Extreme Work Positioning?
  3. Fuligo septica, dog's vomit fungus? Actually a slime mound rather than a fungus.
  4. Your probably right. Even better, dogs with guns. Kill two birds with one stone.
  5. I recently did a job at a vehicle recovery yard. They recover and store vehicles as evidence for the police and the CPS. Their yard was broken into, over a 6 foot fence with razor wire, and then into a locked warehouse, where they torched a car that was due to be used in evidence in a big trial. The two large hungry Rottweillers patrolling the yard were poisoned. The other cars in the warehouse all went up in the subsequent fire, including some of the owner's own classic cars, among them a Cortina previously owned by a member of the royal family. Just goes to show if they are determined enough there are no lengths to which they will not go.
  6. Sorry, misread your first post.
  7. To distinguish the work of a McShifty from field mice or squirells, the McShifty will typical open them by smashing against his own forehead, before washing down said nuts with a generous swig of Guinness. Look for abandoned nesting sites of the McShifty in the vicinity of the stolen nuts, a patch of flattened grass, and often small patches of chain oil on the ground from the creature's leaky chainsaws. One final note of caution, a wild McShifty should never be approached before 10am, or his second large coffee of the day, whichever comes first. He is likely to become enraged, and may even (over)charge.
  8. And that isnt a flipline either, its a lanyard.
  9. Not much use for towing a 3.5 tonne trailer though.
  10. Subbies are covered if you want them to be covered, if the company doesnt have cover for using subbies then they shouldnt use them.
  11. Are you getting some mudguards on there? I can see some signwritten spray suppression accessories......
  12. Not really, its a voluntary scheme run by local authorities to help look after council tree stock and take the pressure off TOs.
  13. Ok, think i have the answer. The foley conversions are 6x4, but the 3rd axle is engaged when required with an air locker.
  14. 2000 mature manchester poplars removed across manchester in 18 months must have had an impact!
  15. Suppose it would. Did have a look on the Foley website but they arent very forthcoming.
  16. Accurate id of poplar is difficult to say the least. As they hybridise readily there are many naturally occuring hybrids that look very similar to the parents. I do have the BSBI handbook of willows and poplars if you want to borrow it Dean.
  17. Nissan dont make anything bigger than the cabstar. The Canter is a Mitsubishi, dont know if they do a 4x4 version but from the 4x2 ones I'v driven, I dont think they would make a good off road vehicle.
  18. Andy is talking about a 6x6
  19. Locks the two axles together like a diff lock, but over two axles. Without it the back wheels will just loose traction and spin in soft ground, as all the weight of the vehicle will be on the middle axle with the stiffer springs.
  20. Do the two rear axles have cross locks?
  21. And the turning circle of the QEII.....
  22. Unless the horses were wearing snow shoes!
  23. Dont know what breed it is, but it goes to my barber!
  24. white card, there is a code for tree surgeons, just look it up on their website. The easist way to do it is through Skills Direct, ring them up and they will do the rest for you. The total cost of card plus test is £42 whether you use them or not.
  25. You mean something like this? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNmGjCsX-LU&feature=related]YouTube - Family guy British porn[/ame]
