  11. Well it appears Plip has lost a bit of weight, so at least when he crashes into Earth at terminal velocity it shouldn't knock it out of orbit now!

  13. Personally I think they've played a blinder. At the last APF they showed the world what was coming, they forced Stihls hand to push out the 201t quickly, and erroneously. The result was an own goal for Stihl, and you know the rest. That gave Husky the time to perfect their saw, without the pressure of trying to beat Stilhl, they just will now. I was told that the original 540 was on a par performance wise with the older 200t, but that wasn't enough, they wanted to be leaps and bounds ahead, so they tweaked more out of the engine. husky couldn't afford to bring out another unsuccessful topping saw, after the 335/8 run of saws. I think they are quite happy with this one now, but proof is in e pudding.

  15. Mark it was nothing, pleased to be able to help and make it happen for you. It's good to see that a bit of networking and communication can come to some good.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
