  1. I never fart.
  2. That comes up with vBulletin message Sorry no matches.
  3. Stay in Suffolk Alex, you'll only get wet feet down Somerset way.
  4. Keep em comin Jennie, any details to go with the pics?
  5. That was a clever bit of advertising the apps, for others too, like Nimby for example
  6. If it were mine I think I'd have removed that wheel cover at least. Probably be a lovely shot of it on the local news too, and in the local papers. I bet a dozen tree surgery companies have been passed it too.
  7. No no no... You've got it all wrong. It's her indoors, she's snoring and waking you up, then leading you to believe it's your fault, as usual. they really are clever at this game, manipulating men is a skill handed down through the generations from mother to daughter, and the occasional interjection from mother in law just to add a little spite. Oh they're good.
  8. You need a phone that is compatible with the Arbtalk Tree fungi app, you'll be well away then
  9. They can moan if they like, it's not like we have to listen is it
  10. Yes agree with the above, with a site called "Pens of Distinction" I would like to find some very distinctive erm pens? Tbh they would interest me far more than the items you have advertised thus far. If I'm honest, I wouldn't have known about what Steve put, but now he's mentioned it it sort of makes sense. Keep plugging away, I'm no technical wizard, I struggle to put pics up myself
  11. I don't snore, end of. I've never heard me snoring, so It doesn't happen. And it matters because????? Women always have to nitpick, any excuse to whinge, I switch off, it seems to work, they stop moaning after a while, well I think so anyway. Lets face it, you have an op to sort the snoring, then she'll moan about saw dust everywhere, or muddy boots, or leaving the toilet seat up, it's never ending.
  12. Overnight rain has moved away now, should be showery for some time, more rain arriving late afternoon maybe.
  13. Clients are starting to do their own research into injection against C.f. is this a reality, so soon? That injection can work on a disease that only just arrived here? Is injection maybe going to be counter productive long term? By preventing the disease now or inhibiting it, how will nature evolve a resistance? I can understand in the case of DED, as we only have a small number of pockets of Elms left, and they need the zoo like status of protection give to say a Panda to prevent extinction. I'm just asking the question, not arguing for or against it.
  14. Good set of pics there Jon, it looks horrendous from what I've seen on the news. Don't envy you guys down there. We had a blustery day to start, then it cleared out fine and sunny. Feel almost guilty for having good weather.
  15. I guess the tragedy of death completely overrides the reason for the trees failure, in this case. Storm conditions, extremely heavy rainfall are enough of a cause, regardless of the health of the tree. Sad news anyway. http://www.thisisexeter.co.uk/Dramatic-pictures-Exeter-tree-crush-dead-scene/story-17418705-detail/story.html quite clear pic here
  16. Supposition year honour
  17. My local radio station, BBC stated, "living in a tent" and given how many homeless live in woods around here, this is not a surprise. Also have the "Glamping" craze in this area, posh camping amongst woodland settings, popular at any time of year. So it doesn't really surprise me, either way. Along with the desire from some to save trees infested with rot and fungi nowadays.
  18. Can't wait, must have slept through last years!
  19. If money didn't matter, I'd spend it improving my view of the harbour, fell a TPO pine and chuck some money away on a paltry fine, just so I can watch boats from my hot tub.
  20. And probably because its also very easy to write up a generic risk assessment for hundreds of staff, if this product is used. Yes targeted marketing, sure we'll see plenty more of that.
  21. I wonder if he had previously applied to remove the tree, to improve his vista. Done correctly, he may have been allowed to fell the tree anyway. I have worked at several places where the view has been returned to that of the 19th Century, or earlier, depending on property, and removed quite substantial "old" trees. Is not about the tree as I said, but the knock on deterrent effect of such a publicised fine. I also wonder if the neighbour who owned the tree was approached, but maybe couldn't afford the removal, or just didn't care, and said it was up to them if they wanted it out, just get rid. Ive heard of this happening before.
  22. This is a case that is made to send out the message that its not acceptable to flout the law. It's in perspective for the value of the property and the wealth of the owner. The usual fine would not have made the news, but this is telling everyone everywhere that no matter how much money you have, you cannot beat the laws of the land. It's not about the value of the tree, the tree species, or the amenity value, it's about adherence and respect for planning law.
  23. I guess the idea is to make it totally muppet proof. There is no guessing the mixture, no over spray, no real handling issues, no risk of liquid spills in the truck and so on. I remember the days of squash bottles with a hole pierced through the cap for a squirter, then randomly spraying the stumps, and this was for a large national company that prides itself on being very green and environmentally aware, of course, as said elsewhere, this was glyphosate and was deemed safe to handle back then. It's quite scary what has gone before, and I think these Ecoplugs are definitely the way forward, though I suspect the glyphosate will be superseded in time with a new cocktail.
  24. Proper job:thumbup: and a lucky chap.
