  1. No advice Mick, but my mum was a nurse for EMI (Elderly Mentally Impaired) patients, and she said that the patients dont really understand that they're "ill" its the families who have the struggle. Its terrible to see people mentally deteriorate, and be powerless to do anything about it. Make sure they get the best care when they need it, and dont struggle to cope. All the best.
  2. Nothing here but lots of ice and very slippy about. -4.5 at the minute here brrrr
  3. Going by your username, I take it its for shooting land? If so I would incorporate some thorns, box, crab apple, rowan and dog rose to provide feed for birds and some warm and safety for them, with the hazel of course.
  4. Excellent vids, reminded me of yesterday picking the cord apart to process, so much ice holding it all together.
  5. I spoke to the driver today of our local oil company. Domestic heating oil today, through his company, is 76.9ppl, compared in october when I filled up at 42.6ppl. On our local BBC station the local MP was discussing the probability of heating oil rationing due to unprecedented demand.
  6. I'm well chuffed with my nice blue Stein carrier bag, hasnt rotted or split yet since the APF. Top product:thumbup:
  7. I did mention it somewhere, but it was too intermittant to make a fuss about. A few times it slowed right down, I'd go off and do something else and it would be ok when I get back. I didnt have logging in and out issues, but then getting in and out repeatedly has ever been a problem so far:biggrin:
  8. Seems to be behaving well now Steve
  9. We were commenting on the oak leaf retention the other day. The 1st half of Nov was unusually warm for the time of year, the 2nd half exceptionally cold. Perhaps the extreme quick change caught the trees out?
  10. Sorry I dont think i did. I love this little show, although I thought last years was better. They really need to speed up the flow of traffic through the gate, we were queued up for nearly a mile to get in!
  11. Dont want to jinx it, but it seems to be behaving now.
  12. I think you've been mislead. My insurances cover a student, as does my colleagues.
  13. Went to my local Apple store today and had a good go on one of these, and decided that it isnt for me. Not overly impressed with carrying a huge gadget costing gadzillion of pounds around, bit of a penis extension if you ask me.
  14. I'm sure you'll spend it wisely:biggrin:
  15. Responding far better for me at the moment, it got so slow earlier I gave up and went out.
  16. Last couple of days the site has been slow for me, but in fits and starts. One minute its tediously tardy, then it'll have a burst of life. All other sites seem ok. Cleared the usual, no difference. Right now its behaving, but last night got fed up with waiting and poked a fork in my eye.
  17. Currently running full chisel on the 66
  18. Av high or low temp?
  19. Still chuffed with it too, best trimmer I think I have ever used, ticks all the boxes in what I was searching for in my original thread.
  20.
  21. Joking about fire-lighting skills, didnt think that there was so much to it. Then today left the lad to get the fire going while we cut. Waste of time, kept looking up the field, flames check, smoke check, tell-tale crackle of combustion.....errrrrrr no. Carry on cutting (on a shut-down, time is of the essence) look up again about 15 mins later, flames......noooo, smoke .......wispy, tell-tale crackle of combustion....nil. Sheesh, gonna get him a Boy Scouts handbook for Xmas I reckon. Stop what we're doing, trudge up field, light fire, big blaze devouring everything in sight within 15mins, what is so blooming difficult?
  22. Whats a hoover for?
  23. Sorry for my tardiness, I pledge 50 quid towards this noble event. And the Big Shave Off at Capel is a great idea
  24. Nice to see even in these tough times that the spirit of Christmas is so greatly embraced, and Steve generously masking his looks behind a beard is a fine example to us all about the lengths he will go to help the poor kiddies. Top man:thumbup1:
  25. Must be a climber:001_rolleyes:
