I use srt quite a bit, it is easier than footlocking imo, and for me quicker on a long ascent. I like to keep it simple and use the minimum kit

It's the same as a mog with a fixed chipper on the rear. Dedicated machine with pto. Regs don't say tractor they say AG machine if memory serves me right. Nice looking rig!!!!!!

the opposite I think. Larger chips require larger hp as the amount of torque required to keep the blades moving will increase. If the anvil/blade seperation is adjustable then there should be some range of adjustment within the tollerance of the machine. Chippers were origonally designed for fuel production i.e. large chips, the smaller chip size is a bi-product of the streamlining and weight reduction of the mordern machine, which has a different goal to the origonals

Take the risk of trashing your rep. and the $$$$ or just bide your time,re apply and sugest staged retrenchment pruning. i.e. go hit em hard repeatedly over a long period of time

Other end of the rope I have fallen out with, I now ask for a 2nd line. I am always aware of landing a branch on the loop of rope, did it once, hurt like hell!!

Never tried the M-technique, I use a sling with a pulley on one end then a krab on the other. It is retrievable if you remeber to rig it right
