  1. Ok, didn’t realise that. the weight is a huge factor. I know a few nurses are they same the same thing, just about all patients dying form covid are overweight.
  2. Thought we’d been over this regarding Sweden. They are slimmer, healthier and far less densely populated than the uk. Of course they are not going to suffer the same. as for being treated like total idiots in the uk, many of us are!
  3. Where did you swipe that from Rob? Looks like something google translate has churned out
  4. Sadly theres people who read stuff like this, believe it, and share it. Some of the comments on Facebook are always worth a look.
  5. Reminds me of an old alcoholic In my old local. He was frail as you can imagine and looked like he would keel over at any minute. Landlord used to serve his lager in a shot glass as that was as much as he could lift 😂
  6. Yes you can sell it then transfer it to your bank account any time you want
  7. My other half scoffs at me too, doesn’t really understand it at all and thinks I’m just going to lose all my money. I’m sure she’ll have more interest and plenty of positive input when it comes to where to spend all the profit though
  8. Can't pretend I understand it either. But its plain to see that a lot of people are making a lot of money from it! I have seen it first hand myself with some coins I bought. I was investing small amounts at first, £30 here and there. If I had put £1000 on some of those coins I would now be sitting on £15000 on each of them. Pretty gutting, so now I purchase 1k minimum on each coin 😀
  9. true. Was supposed to fly a couple weeks ago but had to cancel after Italy introduced the quarantine for UK arrivals. Missus still made it over though. Not that it would have helped her even if I was flying with her though as my card only admits me to the lounge. Her and the baby would have to wait with the commoners 😀
  10. Joking aside, I think its stupid NOT to have the crypto card, its a no brainer. Also get my netflix subscription reimbursed every month when using the card. If I stake up to the next level i'll get my amazon subscription back too. Oh....and access to the airport lounges
  11. ok i'll make it easy for you. Basically I might be minted in a few years time, or living in cardboard city.
  12. So the emirates created a fake storm this week to combat 50 degree temparatures. Heavy artificial rains are caused in the United Arab Emirates WWW.ENTREPRENEUR.COM A heat wave of almost 50 degrees is controlled with a new technology that causes artificial rain. Bit of digging though and it doesn't appear its anything new. They did the same thing back in 2011. Scientists Create 52 Artificial Rain Storms in Abu Dhabi Desert | TIME.com NEWSFEED.TIME.COM Hail, lightning and gales came through the state’s eastern region this summer thanks to scientist-puppetmasters. As part of a secret program to control the weather in the...
  13. When this thread originally started I looked into it but it was so flipping hard to actually buy coins. Now there are several apps that have made it very easy, and converting your coins to cash to move to your bank account is done at the click of a button. I always said that once you hear about these things its probably already too late, but decided to jump on the bandwagon back in March this year and downloaded the crypto.com app. Was going quite well for a while, but now sitting about 5k down on my initial investments. Everythings plummeted the past couple months, and with hindsight now would have been the time to buy. Most of my coins are ones with good projects behind them though so im confident I will get my money back, although theres talk of this dip lasting 2 years if its anything like the last one. Having said that though I read so many predictions and they are rarely correct..I also suspect most of the crypto news sites are earning a decent whack from affiliate marketing when people download the various apps, so its obviously in their interest to predict higher rises. Having said that though I have come to the conclusion that the market tends to just do what it wants, and you get lucky or you don't. A little knowledge and research is never a bad idea though. For me the biggest thing at the moment is the interest im earning. I staked 3k on CRO with is earning me 10% for 6 months. This gets paid in CRO coins, which are currently around 8p. I get 67 of those a week. In addition to that, staking the 3k on CRO enabled me to upgrade to their metal credit card/top up card which has some great benefits. I now get 3% cashback everytime I use the card pretty much anywhere. Utilities, credit card/loan payments, mortgage payments don't qualify unfortunately, but basically anything retail does. When I pay myself at the end of the month, everything that isn't needed for my bills gets transferred to the card and I use that for my day to day expenses. On average I earn about 50 CRO (currently worth 8p each) every single day. This costs me nothing in fees so its entirely win win. Crypto.com have invested massively in their advertising lately, and no sponsor nascar, F1, and just signed a 10 year deal with the UFC, so I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. I have hopes that CRO will hit £1 at least one day, although the longer it stays low the better. With my average daily earn, plus interest, if it hits £1 one day, i'm basically chucking about £1800 in a savings account every single month. All the other coins I have are also staked. Disadvantage with that is that if the price rockets I can't sell them as they are tied up for 3 months at a time. But I am also earning good interest on them, depending on the coin this ranges from 3-12%. Not sure if i'm quite done investing. If I have a good month I will probably chuck another wedge in, specially if the coins stay this low.
  14. Nearly 4 years on, I wonder if your view has changed?
  15. When I had my backside reamed out about 7 years ago the consultant also found a hernia in my stomach. There is a slight bulge there but he said at that size they wouldn’t even bother operating on it. Based on that I’d assume it would have been the same for yours particularly if there’s not even a bump. Maybe yours is in a more delicate area?
  16. Anything burns if the fires hot enough. Hazel Certainly won’t be a problem
  17. I’d suggest finding a different hirer! Proper wood chippers do not struggle with hazel leaves, or any leaves really
  18. I guess the onus would be on the council to prove it was done intentionally to cause damage to the tree. Probably an easy thing to claim ignorance on, unless you’re a tree surgeon of course
  19. Wouldn’t even like to say! Wilful neglect? Unlawful damage? Someone like @daltontrees would know better than me
  20. Impossible to comment on the stability from one photo like that. You’d need to carry out a picus test to see the extent of any decay. Even then it doesn’t necessarily mean the tree is unstable if there’s decay found. not sure on the issue of the council being liable, but if a proper inspection and report from a qualified professional was carried out and subsequently condemned the tree, they would have to reassess their original ruling I expect
