  1. I remember years ago Andy Collins using the companies echo poles to do a horrible hedge we had each year. It was the 2 section extendable unit but also had an extra pole extension on the end. It was a beast to use and i'll openly admit Andy was probably the only one on the crew strong enough to use it any amount of time....but anyway, it sheared the clutch I believe, and after a phone call to Echo we were told that the extension pole was only to be used with the chainsaw attachment for that reason.
  2. Thankfully i'm having an office day today. I don't think its actually stopped raining all day long
  3. Thats the opposite to what I was always told. The trimmer head being the worst to use on the extendable poles.
  4. Yeah tescos fuel save. Every time you shop at tescos you get money off fuel, you can let it accumulate to a max of 20p off per litre. They have been doing this for a good long while now but unfortunately it ends this month
  5. what knot did you use with the hitch climber?
  6. I have tried all of the above and they all have their own merits, but out of all of them I have to say the zigzag is the only one you can go straight onto with no learning curve. It feels like a hitch from the get go.
  7. cheapest ive seen in these parts is 109.9.....with my tescos 20p off per litre on top of that it was a pretty cheap fill up!
  8. Perhaps he's a bit more aerodynamic than you
  9. Excellent! Is that the place in Wales? And happy birthday
  10. Well done mate. Always nice when people revive their old threads with the outcome
  11. Great thread. I've made this a sticky for you(and everyone)
  12. Pretty sure thats what Eddie said. Its probably a grey area though, ie a homeowner throwing the odd can away would be fine..a business throwing away a larger quantity wouldnt
  13. Great video Sam. How are you finding the zigzag with the wrench? Also what was the cherry picker doing?
  14. I wouldn't imagine it would be the best idea. Try daisy chaining it? Best way of drying a rope out is by using it. Always handy to have a spare rope to use one when is saturated though
  15. You can apparently put them into household recycling which is what I do. Of course that would only be feasible if you get through as little amount as I do.
  16. I doubt there's even that many in the country, finding a used one will be a big ask I reckon
  17. Anyone got one of these? If so whats the largest strimmer cord you have used with it, or what alternative heads can be fitted to it? I would need something capable of knocking back smaller brambles, nothing bigger. This is just for personal use. Stihl FSA 85 battery powered brushcutter/strimmer (unit only)
  18. Looks like an ailanthus? Trees are supposed to flex in the wind, if they didn't they'd snap. However looking at this, am I right in thinking it is in quite a crowded spot? If so its likely to grow into a tall and spindly tree with not much future. If thats the case I would personally have it out while its small and a relatively cheap job.
  19. Deal has been struck via pm with Joe, but just for the record there are no sexual favours involved.
