  1. hot and very close here today, rain forecast this afternoon, hopefully it will clear it a bit but i doubt it!
  2. Not heard them mentioned so im guessing not. Pretty sure Yvonne would have announced it here if they had
  3. clark cut and climb here, not the cheapest by any means but very tough and waterproof, also makes a great wind proof jacket in the colder weather
  4. You'll notice on the arborist review site is that one of the stipulations is all reviewers submit their full name behind their review, no anonymous reviews are published.
  5. Niall is a lead climber for Special Branch, so in answer to your question, yes it is independant to the best of my knowledge
  6. Its a good book without question, but £70!!
  7. I fear you may have sealed your own fate there. As a freelancer I have worked for a lot of different companies and seen a lot of stuff. I have learned to keep my mouth shut, keep my opinions to myself, and if i'm not happy then I walk. In my experience people don't like being told how to run their business, even if you are pointing out relevant things. They may well know what you are saying is true but their backs will be put out of joint regardless, and you will be viewed as the trouble maker until such a time they learn for themselves, often too late. I speak from experience. If I were you i'd just walk.
  8. Shouldn't be hard to settle, assuming there are 3 stumps to photograph and not 7
  9. You can come stand in the losers corner with me and Stubby
  10. It is indeed paulownia, I thought it was a catalpa till the customer put me right. Was just seeing if there was anyone else who thought it was catalpa to make me feel better about myself
  11. Sorry Barry, been one thing after another this year and I haven't had the leaflets done yet. I must make it a priority
  12. I didn't notice actually. Will look when I go back.
  13. Pfanners are a great trouser. Stein are also worth a look. My last pair lasted me 2 years.
  14. Perhaps just for the occassional drinker then
  15. Just bumping this. It seems theres still a massive amount of people out there who haven't heard about arbsafe yet, or know about it and haven't registered. This is the only website of its kinda dedicated to arb gear, and now with police accreditation it makes absolutely no sense not to have your gear listed. Arbsafe is now nearly a year old, hopefully it continues to grow and somewhere down the road makes a small difference to someone.
  16. Saw this yesterday in glasswells, thought it was worth sharing for the woodworkers here, looked really nice
  17. 1 in 19 years to my shame. Tree had about 8 wires going through it, and I had done a pretty good job of missing everything...the one bit that brought it down was a piece I nonchalantly cut as I didn't think it could do any damage....a small stub about 8" long and about 2" thick
  18. I can deactivate your account if that's what you want
  19. As it happens I just sold my butchers block on eBay a couple weeks ago, had it listed as collection I person and the buyer than asked my address so he could send a courier. I told him no as per the advert. Like Steve just said, it's just not worth the hassle sometimes. I'm guessing this guy has probably been stitched up on eBay before and knows the score. eBay isn't what it was, too many people playing the system
  20. Had fish when I was a teen, would love to have a nice tank now but just can't commit the time to it. My little girl has a small tropical tank in her room. I'd love a marine set up
