  1. Actually the amount of traffic is a lot larger than it was. At the peak of forum activity around 2013-2014 we used to get about 80,000 unique visitors per month. Now its more like 120,000. Less choose to actually post these days, largely due to what I just mentioned about the dilution of platforms. I don't buy that people dont post due to a few members. If that were the case social media platforms would be dead as they are amongst the most toxic environments out there!
  2. Social media has become quite diluted in the past 10 years which is probably the biggest reason
  3. Good question. I’ll definetly be checking in on Spartacus
  4. its become almost something of a tradition to ban someone on christmas day....joyful times seem to bring out the worst in some people. Please keep this up for another 2 days.
  5. Basically the american system
  6. I don't think anyones has to be fair. Groundsmen in our trade are still starting out on what I did 25 years ago!
  7. This is probably the biggest part of the problem, all the money wasted. I read the other day they spent £100,000 on training staff how to deal with pregnant transgender men including the use of the terms 'chest feeding'. Not sure if that was actually true but it wouldnt surprise me these days.
  8. Anyone who works hard deserves more. as for the prices Gareth posted, I don’t think they show a true picture of what nurses do earn as it doesn’t take into account shift pay etc. plus I think any nurse who knows how to play the system does the minimum amount of contracted hours then makes up the extra as bank staff, again more toot. Can only speak from experience but someone once close to me was certainly bringing home in excess of 40k a year
  9. not sure if it makes a difference if you are doing it as practice in your own garden or on a paying job? I remember the first tree I climbed I had barely even used a chainsaw. Didn't know any knots. Strapped on a pair of spikes and was shown where the clippy things clipped to on the harness. Times have certainly changed a lot
  10. I expect to see the overweight vegetarians brain in the reduced section in Tescos along with other unpopular cuts like lamb hearts and livers
  11. Not exactly going to be the leanest meat out there is it
  12. Something makes me think that was @Ian Flatters
  13. They are by very definition the party of losers 😀
  14. Feel free to add yourself to the contractors map here https://arbtalk.co.uk/find-a-freelancer/
  15. Its brilliant! In my mind a certain percentage of politicians are always going to be corrupt. Get a massive gaggle of them together (ie the EU) then naturally theres going to be even more corruption.
  16. Its only getting worse. People are getting desperate out there. Search traffic for the freefirewood website over the past 16 months.
  17. Can't help with the surveying but if you ever have a requirement for Picus tests in the East Anglia region please keep me in mind. Can white label the reports also.
  18. Probably not many countries we don’t sell arms to if the truth be known
  19. Meanwhile the swap the worlds most notorious Russian arms dealer for a basketball player. 🙄 US ready to send Patriot air defence missile systems to Ukraine APPLE.NEWS Official decision likely to come this week as Volodymyr Zelensky urges Western leaders to provide his country with more advanced...
  20. Once said that to a young Scot girl I was having a bit of fun with, then remembered her dad died in the alpha piper disaster…still cringe to this day when I hear that phrase! glad you didn’t come off worse anyhow
  21. Yep what Martin said. It’s just muscle memory. Stick with them
  22. You always have to go one better don’t you 😂
  23. Do you and your neighbour not see eye to eye then? Who’d have thunk it
