  1. never heard of the make. whats so good about it? Other than the massive diameter for us ageing climbers?
  2. They are amazing photos Sean
  3. I had a little one from b&q, cost around £80. Did an ok job of blowing out saws
  4. It’s actually directly down to tapatalk which is a poorly managed 3rd party app that I have no control over whatsoever
  5. Subbie/freelance climber we are talking about, not a bonafide sub contractor
  6. I’ll check exactly what year and model it is tomorrow. It is truly useless though
  7. Yep, common fault with mark 1's. I assume yours is a mark 1? I have one in the same condition that I must get sent over to spud to be repaired at some point.
  8. Don't get the model my mate just got whatever you do, i think they put a fiat cinquecento clutch in it. You can forget about trying to reverse a chipper up a 10 degree incline.
  9. Apparently you don’t need it, according to my insurers. each year on renewal they tell me I’m throwing my money away and that the policy would not pay out anyway
  10. Close call today at my Childrens primary school. Fortunately the students are being reassured now, and hopefully the school will offer some sort of counselling just in case.
  11. thanks for the explanation
  12. Because of what happens to them when they die
  13. Nothing particularly special but I rarely get to fell big trees. 110ft poplar slightly weighted back. Few wedges and the tracked chipper had it over
  14. I hate that saying, stupid macho crap
  15. Today's carnage. There was a 20 ton digger on site which made the job a breeze. Deceptive pics, trees were 110ft, tall and skinny
  16. does that work for you?

  18. Let us know what you pick and how you get on with it. things have certainly moved on from then good old days of Oregon Green boots
  19. I spend a bit on there now to share stuff from arbtalk but mostly have it set automated. I don't get involved with stuff on there if I can help it! I think I would consider deleting my account if I didn't need it for the business aspect.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
