  1. I may be wrong, but I believe they stopped giving points, just a fine now. Unless thats changed again since I was last pulled
  2. You can get away with this on quiet roads with good visibility, but if the wrong person happens to pass by they might have something to say about it. I appreciate what you're saying though and we've all been there and had to take shortcuts. Its just not feasible to add those costs onto most jobs
  3. Hi Roddy, after logging into my console I can see its been removed by google due to a violation, whatever that means. Have submitted a support ticket to them to see whats wrong

  5. Just think, in another 10 years time this technology will probably be available on everyones phone. We'll be able to factor in quantity of waste removal at the quote stage
  6. On this page https://arbtalk.co.uk/forums/forum/42-timberwolf/ Please click on the follow button above 'start new topic' The old site used to have an option in the back end to set user notifications per forum, this one doesn't that I can find unfortunately
  7. As I said, I can't recall ever hearing any stories but it does seem unlikely that no ones ever had anything taken doesnt it If they were magnetic ones then more fool them for not taking them off, thats just asking for it. Plenty of chip trucks with built in tool boxes always parked up, I wonder how many people make the effort to empty them out?
  8. Don’t see why not. Make sure you lock it up well though. Theft is rife at the shows. Although I’ve never once heard of any vehicle break ins in the car park
  9. Do you have Dutch Elm disease over there?
  10. Well that could have all ended in tears! Bet you were relieved it all went to plan
  11. Resistographs are ok up to a certain sized timber. Not come across the Sibtec before?
  12. There was nothing kind about that Just kidding. It was my first harness. The pain I endured in that sometimes. The side d's would really dig in at certain points. Harnesses have come a long way!
  13. Hi Alec, Picus Tomograph is used to test decay in woods. Not cheap to do, nor is the equipment available. Its the only viable way though that I am aware of
  14. Welcome Jack. What you are referring to is SRT and theres a million answers to your questions unfortunately. Ultimately you will be guided by the guys showing you regarding how to tie in. But basically theres 2 ways, a base tie or a tip tie. Theres a stack of information to trawl through on the SRT section of this site. https://arbtalk.co.uk/forums/forum/92-srt-single-rope-technique/
  15. On the contrary, they have contacted me several times to see if items they had recovered were listed. I also have many of the different forces registered on the site. One list they sent me over had nearly 100 saws on it, all of which would have been reunited with their owners had they been listed
  16. There’s some pretty cheap starter harnesses out there. It won’t be no treemotion but will get you off the ground safely
  17. I was never a happy wet weather climber I have to say. But I think I’m probably in the majority. Love the colder weather for climbing though
  18. Probably is! Been walking the pup but there’s only so far he can go at the moment. Hope to run with him when he’s old enough
