  1. If they had been mine to sack mate
  2. I rarely did much groundwork but on the odd occassion I did I used to wear my climbing helmet. I wouldn't do the chin strap up, not for any particular safety reason but just because it wasn't necessary. Don't know if this would have made a different in an incident like yours. Mend quick mate, could have been a lot worse!
  3. Another pet peeve of mine is people who try and discredit other companies online by any means they can to make up for their own short comings in business.
  4. Or those who point blank deny it! Actually this is probbaly my single biggest pet peeve and i've witnessed it time and time again over the years. 'How did that dent in the truck happen?' 'dunno' 'Who broke that saw?' 'dunno, I didn't use it last' etc etc....SOMEONE always knows. I had a 460 seize a couple of years ago after being run on neat fuel, every single one of the staff(4 in total) denied being the ones who mixed the fuel. Pretty sure it was 1 of 2 people, but what can you do in that situation?
  5. Excuse my ignorance to US law, but how does that work if he has already stated he doesn't own the tree?
  6. A word of caution with the Sugoi Alex. I bought one when they first came out, couldn't resist the urge. Lasted about 1 month before I destroyed it. Problem is its so big it can get caught up easy. In my case I was rigging and as I cut the piece off the rigging rope caught caught behind the handle(mounted to my leg), bent the blade and snapped the handle. Just something to be aware of. Aside from that it cuts like a beast.
  7. It wouldn't take much. If just 20 people committed themselves to 10 posts a day it would be back to normal again. Not really sure why the post count has dropped so much because visitor stats are actually on the up considerably. You can see a big slump beginning in July which was when the site was upgraded. Took a bit of a hammering in google due to that(which was expected) but now on a pretty sharp incline again.
  8. the app specifically? I haven't checked those stats lately. I just look at the main site stats in google. No doubt the app usage has dropped though.
  9. Doesn't have to be that way, if everyone would post a little more
  10. Bit hard to see John, can you ask her to look at the camera next time?
  11. Looks like its only throwing out epicormic in just that area also. Related?
  12. ok smart arse, but how did he get the block into that position to start with ?
  13. ugh really? is this on the app or what?
  14. No idea if theres a legislation for it, but have seen it done plenty of times and done it myself a few times. You obviously have to be careful how much you put in it. Where i'd be particularly cautious is cutting and holding big limbs. I've seen this jolt a bucket a few times through the shock loading.
  15. Got one image, could do with a few more if anyone has any
  16. Yeah I would be too. I think the damage is already done at this point. Accept liability or fell
  17. Very cool sequence of photos and an interesting find. I’d say there’s a good possibility of the tree failing at that point. Different tree I know, but I cleared up a wind blown leylandii once that had been girdled 10ft up in a similar fashion. It literally sheared clean through at that point
  18. Should be a new version added to the store soon. Hopefully that fixes it. Other than that I have zero influence on the app development unfortunately
  19. is this on the app? pics seem to be showing fine on the computer
  20. a 10x5 trailer is a nice size to tow, especially with a pickup. Nice and easy to reverse and it follows you well round corners. I'd avoid any bigger unless you really need the extra space.
