Are you on much of a budget? Quickest and easiest way by far would be to get someone in with a mulcher. Unless you have the time on your hands and want to do it all yourself of course.

Hi Nick, yes its straight forward do send out. Arbtalk adds only as the inbetween, any payments will need to be arranged between you and the buyer privately. Yes you will need to account for postage in the price.

I’d never buy used but plenty do. If I were to I would make sure it was from a reputable source. Have a chat with @spudulike on here. He regularly does up used saws and sells on. You will know you’re getting something that’s been gone over by an expert with a fine tooth comb -

Disagree, I think the first 2 are Beech, second 2 possibly Ash -
It’s hard to get it right enough, and part of the problem is that under force the beads compress which makes it possible to pull them hard enough to create a 15mm gap which would fail the test

That’s not a hornbeam leaf. And that’s not particularly unusual to find a beech tree with a stem like that

Dollar/makita speak to @shavey on here for prices on those. tanaka makes ok stuff at a slightly cheaper price, not sure if they do any long reach stuff though

hmm trying to picture what you mean there Currently she's been burning the cord then fusing it together. I haven't managed to break one yet. I need to watch her make one as she puts a knot within each bead aswell.

Basically its something like this. Clip one end and a loop the other to attach to a dummy I don't think counter sinking the end is feasible as it would mean that bead would need to be retested individually I expect

If you went to America its a different story, Echo are massive over there. I guess Stihl market more heavily than Echo here in the UK.

Plus its quite an outlay if you're not going to be using it much

Echo to a 3 stage extension, or used to. Be warned though its a beast to handle at full extension. You are also not supposed to use the 3rd extension with a hedge cutter attachment, just a chainsaw attachement, we used to however. That was a while ago though, im not sure if this is still in their range, but worth a look. Hope you have decent shoulders
