Oh dear...travellers have arrived

We recently got the job of clearing up a site travellers had moved onto for a couple of weeks. 16 loads of mixed waste in an 8 wheel grab lorry plus we chipped 10 loads of tree waste. All paid for by the local tax payers...

The amount of work they got was pretty remarkable...

Much of it gained by high pressure tactics on householders.

Of course we should do away with planning and all the other regulations to make their lives easier just because they hold us to ransom with their bullying tactics.

This is how they left the site yesterday. There's concrete blocks like this everywhere to stop them but they keep comingf673d355ad944e97bef5a97b1270d76b.jpg

Its sickening they are allowed to carry on like this. As soon as they arrive police should be down with Vosa checking every vehicle for tax, proper insurance and MOT. Impound everything that isn't. The same rules the rest of us play by.

Of the dozen or so vehicles that arrived nearly a week ago, there are 5/6 Transits marked up as 'Tree surgeons'...with mob nos only of course. We've noticed some strangely butchered trees of late which we've found are down to these clowns. Just don't understand why anyone allows them in but then we're not (quite) a vulnerable old couple. One neighbour reckons he heard bangs like gunshots a couple of nights ago but...they're still in the park, rubbish and all.

Believe me, if there were reports of gunshots at a travellers camp 'the old bill' would have been There in no time.

I was on a camp a few years ago when some fool rang the police and claimed he had been threatened with a gun. T'was like a scene out of a movie. Armed Police everywhere, helicopter over the top.

The men holding the guns asked us very nicely:001_rolleyes: to lay on the ground with our arms stretched out........ I did this, right quick.

Turned out the bloke who had been accused of threatening someone was hundreds of miles away.

Doesn't excuse the rubbish some of them leave behind mind.

We had a load nearby recently - Chelmsford Channels travellers: First look inside illegal camp that shut £1,100-a-year golf course | Essex Live

What the article didn't mention was that they had been s*****ng all over the greens as well - dirty scum bags. They have toilets in their caravans but seem to think it's ok to do this? Same on a local industrial estate as well - mate works there and when his boss asked him to clean up land next to his firm after they had left he refused - toilet paper and mess all over the place

Couple of years ago the pulled onto a playing field near us and left broken glass bottles pushed into the pitch! Then you get the bleeding heart lot and BBC going on about 'they have to go somewhere' and the classic 'there's good and bad in everyone and we should welcome them'

What they really mean is 'there's good and bad in everyone and YOU should welcome them', because I have more than a sneaky feeling that they would not want them on their doorstep either.
