Pressure washer for the wagon

Hi people, I figured I'd pop this in the truck forum as it will be used mainly on my truck.

I'm looking to buy a pressure washer and am looking around the £200 mark. I get that the more you spend the better quality mashed you will get but as it won't be used everyday (maybe once a month) I don't want to spend silly money on it.

Just wondered what people have and what people advice to steer clear of? I'd spend a little more if there is one out there that is worth the extra.

Not in any rush to get one just want to do my research first.

All brands and models welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I bought one of these cheapy petrol jobs a few years ago, its been trouble free. + side is it will work off of a drum of water so you can take it on site to blast the crud off gear rather than bring it back and cack up the yard.

They have sold nearly 3000 of them so they must be ok.

Edit: Its no a substitute for a steam cleaner

Not a bad idea. Would be useful come the muddy days. I didn't really think of a petrol machine but it would be handy.

Yeah I was looking at them, it's been mixed reviews online but I get the impression the people giving them bad reviews are trying to use them to run a car wash.

Agreed, just for the patio in the spring/winter, and the grinder occasionally.

I do the vans at the carwash.

If you want to get trucks clean of traffic film etc you really need hot water.

I've got a karcher hds 601, secondhand for £600ish. Be careful with secondhand stuff though, they are susceptible to frost damage and can be expensive to repair.

There is a cheapie like b0d's one in my shed with a knackered pump on it. A new pump is about fifty quid on EBay. If you want it you can have it.
