sounds wicked, i saw some jousting on a tv show a while ago and i think they were all american but it was all very serious and was great fun to watch.

on top of that a knight's tale is one of my favorite films...

never understood why golf is in the olympics?

all you see on tv is a bloke wiggling his bum at the tee then whacking it, tv camera goes sky, sky, sky, sky, sky, sky, flag pole. polite round of applause..

Yes , English heritage ' deadly serious ' about jousting becoming an Olympic sport in time for Tokyo 2020 . There is some mouthwatering challenges, you can only imagine !!

Ditch the golf and get a proper equestrian sport in :thumbup1:

Can we decide the format, I vote single combat, fight to the death, any tie break to be decided with mace and chain:laugh1:

Haven't looked at the Olympics since they had beach volleyball but a bit of medieval combat would interest me. Steel armour trumps lycra all day :001_cool:

I cant see it being in the traditional vein with metal amour squires and the like. But a modern take as in full metal jousting would be great. Kevlar amour, carbon lances and cameras in the "pits" seeing what shoes were being put on the horses (wets or slicks)and the tweaks to amour and kit between rounds...........
