They've  paid tax and NI. We know how long they have been here. Remember when the Governmet wated to send the Ghurkas back?

Over to you.

Ohhh, I've paid tax in lots of countries, does that mean I can get passport for each country?

Are you someone else that thinks these windrush migrants have never left the country?

Up in till a few years ago anyone could get a temporary, 12 month passport. It doesn't mean those people would have a passport today. After all they are elderly now and might not travel anymore.

Apparently, about 150 people have phoned the Home Office helpline...

Administrative cock-up.....

Maybe.

Law of unintended consequences.... Maybe.

Grand conspiracy.....

Not buying it.

Massive issue.....

See above.

Should it be resolved.....

Undoubtedly.

Is it really a mass media hysteria story...

Not really.

Are dick heads like James OBrien on LBC flapping like a tattered wind sock...

Nauseatingly!

I'm not really convinced you know what you're talking about.

The windrush migrants in the Guardian article below are in their fifties and sixties. You really think someone in their sixties is too old to get on a plane and go abroad?

I bet the real story here is that they came to the UK fifty years ago and never got a British passport because either:

A. They came here unofficially and shouldn't actually be in the UK. Or

B. Because they don't consider themselves British....

James OBrien Is a Dick, get that, coming from a "commie tw@t"! You know, and I know this IS bollox that needs sorting quickly. I'm no fan of mass immigration but the "windrush massive", I ask ya.

IMHO , the windrush story is getting pushed in the media for three reasons:

1. It's another story the media can push to show how racist and evil whitey is.

2. It's to embarrass the Tories.

3. It softens the public's opposition to immigration.

Sadly we live in an age where hysterical emotional arguments get more attention than cold rational arguments.

White farmers in South Africa are facing constant attacks and murders. Christians in the Middle East are facing genicide. What story is the media focus sing on? Elderly people that might be forced to live in island paradises like Jamaica...

I could think of worse places to spend my twilight years....
