Ok, so the guy believes that incestuous rape should be carried through to full term, with no regard for the victims wishes.  That's not alright in my world.  The video wasn't heavily edited, it is just the end of this video:

Personally, I don't think a person who deeply believes in concepts like those is fit to be a prime minister of our country.

Incestuous rape is always the argument trotted out by the pro-abortion gang.
I wonder if you would like to hazard a guess on how many abortions are actually performed for that reason as opposed to how many are performed for other reasons such as inconvenience?

Planned Parenthood in the US are one of the big players in the pro choice movement.
They have really some really impeccable credentials.,,

Slippery slope if you ask me....

You brought it up....

True, but I'm not about to get into a discussion on the pros and cons of freedom of choice, with someone who has unwavering conviction in their beliefs.  No disrespect in anyway intended.

None taken, Mark, and certainly no disrespect meant to you for your own convictions.

Thanks for the reprieve!

I can understand that you have a different viewpoint to Rees-Mogg, Eggs..

But to label him an extremist?

At what point does someone become an extremist?
This is where I struggle with left wing politics. As soon as you step out of the "approved included list" (usually if you are Jewish or Christian) you get labelled an extremist or worse.

Don't you see the irony??

For me people who through their religious beliefs think it is right and proper that any woman should not be allowed to have an abortion however she became pregnant is an extremist.

If someone got hold of your wife, daughter, mother, aunt and raped them would you think it was right and proper for that lady to be made to give birth to that child?

I think that not allowing people to have their own opinions based on their own personal convictions is very intolerant.

At no point in that (heavily edited) excerpt did Rees Mogg say that he would force his own personal beliefs on someone.

If holding to an opinion that "human life is sacred" is now classified as "extremism" then we're all in deep trouble.

Say what you believe in get lambasted.  JRM

Avoid saying what what you believe in get lambasted. Tim Farron

An individual should have opinions and be free to express them - within the bounds of the law and common decency.

Its not as as if he would ever be in a position to reverse current U.K. Legislation (even if he was PM)

Cant help liking the fact he has an opinion and didn't duck talking about it for the sake of trying to avoid controversy.

Sounds pretty extreme to me.

And to think I was warming to the fella, he's gone down faster than a lead balloon...

Its bad enough I now find he's a practicing christian, but to add insult to injury, he puts dogma above the health of a woman..

He's just killed any chance of a political career as well, what a numpty..
