Wonder how many Corbyn voters are aware of how hellish life is now in Chavez's 'socialist utopian' Venezuela?

.

Probably none Tim, it does not fit with their narrative.

People seem to think we are somehow an inherently rich country and that this wealth should simply be handed out to all.

We are in fact a rich country because a lot of people have become rich while making the country rich in the process. If you put in place mechanisms that prevent the rich from being rich and getting richer, you remove the very mechanism that produces the wealth they want to distribute.

If you don't believe this simply look around the world at countries that have tried it.

Last year around this time I felt elated. We were leaving the EU, the economy was plodding along ok, and Corbyn was promising things he couldn't deliver.

I don't see too much has changed. I'm not May's biggest fan, but I believe she or her tory replacement can still get a good deal in Brexit talks. Don't forget,Germany exports around 750000 cars a year to Britain. Both need some kind of deal. If a deal can't be agreed, then we should walk away, and establish our own trade deals.

Corbyn would have been a disaster in Brexit talks.

Too many people want to see Brexit and this country fail. There must be some positives living here? plenty of people risk their lives trying to get here.

And plenty of people gave their lives so we can live as we do.

It's all very well saying Germany sells us 750000 cars a year but brexit isn't a deal with Germany its with 26 other countries. They ain't going to make it better or easier for us unless they get a good deal which will cost us dear. Now we've got a lame duck prime minister do you really think we will be better off?!!!

All those winers from Wolverhampton will be wining even more.

Teresa's in a pickle, the country's in a pickle, and all because, the people voted brexit..

Not wishing to blow my own trumpet, but I did say what would happen..

I wonder if the Tory scum that promoted Brexit (boris) have any kind words to those Tory MP's who've lost their seats to Labour ?..

I haven't a clue whats gonna happen next, ether May clings on like Corbyn, or she goes. I do know one thing though, Brexit is poisoning the well. and until its sorted.. Staying in as is, or getting out and being done with it, that well is gonna stay poisoned till its drained..

In order for that well to be drained, we need to sort out brexit. No halfway house, no picking and choosing, just staying in Europe as we are now, or having a hard brexit with WTO rules to follow.

I think the only possible solution is another referendum, only this time its stay in or WTO..

postpone brexit talks till the autumn, then a referendum.. get shut of May in the meantime and hopefully corbyn chokes on a fishbone..

That fella's as deluded as May..

I don't recall voting for a hard, soft or par boiled brexit. I was under the impression that leave meant leave and stay meant stay!

Brexit is not the problem.

The problem is the re-moaners and most of the establishment trying the frustrate brexit.

No, Germany will do everything it can to retain a good deal with us. It's the others we need to worry about. They won't be caring about ours or Germany's economy only their own. The Eu needs ALL the other member to agree to a deal, not just Germany.

It took 7 years for the EU to agree to deal with Canada it is was nearly scuppered by a single Belgium municipal representative who wanted a better deal for their farmers.

I fear May is going to sail our economy into the rocks just to get brexit.

Which countries in Europe do not import good into the UK or want us to visit them and spend?
