Under different circumstances, I guess it could be newsworthy, but given the sustained, chaotic shambles that is UK politics at the moment - and the abject HORROR of even the thought of the prospect of the potential of HM the Queen having to ask the leader of the opposition to attempt to form a government as a truly terrifying prospect, for example - it rather pales into insignificance.  Mehhhh....

 

On a lighter note, what about bloody Stokies having a beer and kicking off - Northern Monkeys!

But.....  There is increasing discussion, potential and the constitutional mechanism for the Monarch to seek an alternative to the sitting government if they are unable to function effectively.

 

It's been on the discussion circuit for some time but seems to be gathering momentum (for want of a better phrase - there isn't really a better phrase but the use of that word should not be surrendered to the Marxist lunatics.)
