It will be hard to see past the noise on this one as most people will disagree with it just because its come from RFK and Trump.

For me though it doesnt add up purely based on the fact that Paracetemol has been around for years, which doesn't account for the more recent increase in Autism

Incorrect. Nothing to do with helping Stephen P, he doesn't require it. He clearly runs rings around your man JohnsonD every time, like most people in fact. Once you get past the dogma and bullying tactics, there's very little of any substance to actually counter, it's just BS to be called out. Any kind of semi-coherent, reasoned argument suffices. I think you have actually come to realise that yourself if you're candid about it.

The issue with the relentless BS is that what it lacks in substance, it more than makes up for in volume. It's easy to call it out, but nonetheless, it's slowly taking over the whole site. Can you justify all these 100's of screenshots of who's commented or reacted to which posts, that we've been inundated with recently, what's the point of it all? Do you honestly think it adds any value at all to the Arbtalk site? I don't.

True, I would find it hard to agree with any medical advice from RFK... but that is based a bit on reading the medical advice he does give. Most of Trumps team do have competence - but not him. (likewise with Trump, lets inject bleach to cure covid...)

 

Recent increases in autism are mostly due to better diagnosis and a lowering of the limits when you get a diagnosis. In reality we are all on the spectrum just the line that is drawn for a diagnosis is above where most of us are. In the UK, at least having an autism diagnosis just means you have enough to need some extra help and consideration (for example in school and exams).

 

Doesn't ruin a life, doesn't end the world, perhaps doesn't need the US president and his sidekick focussing on a non life threatening issue as much as they have done.

Agree to a point..but there is an increase of severe cases. I’m now going through the school system for the second time, 15 years apart and there’s a noticeable difference. 
 

figured are skewed though, with many of the more mild cases that would have just put down to a child being a wrong ‘un many years ago, partly simply down to human behaviour but more likely due to negligent parents ignoring their kids needs or simply throwing them in front of a tablet from a young age.

 

as for the bleach, there’s some critical thinkers out there who understand that trump didn’t mean that literally 

 

the last part about it not ruining a life is debatable

If and it's a very big IF, the prevalence of Autism is on the rise then it being due to environmental factors is far more credible. 
Trump and RFK's latest garbled claim is just that, dangerous confused messaging. It'll do no good.

They'd be better off focussing on what US "food" is doing to the nations health, rather than it's medicines.
