Making the news today....

Dear God, I've lost the will to live any longer.   Is there nothing that happens 'in the news today' that you guys can't turn into a tedious diatribe of competitive drivel, that suddenly loses all the interest the original topic ever had. FFS there's a whole world of interest out there but you just keep bringin it back to ME, ME,ME.  I'm sick of reading this spittle dripping off your chins, hoping there might be a modicum of either wit or good comment about to be revealed.🥱

Just ignore it 👍as I do with loads of posts on here  or elsewhere that I i have no interest in or opinion on, very simple and easy. Bit of humour for you below . Mind you alternatively you could always bang something up.

Listening to the chair of the met police officers federation describing how normal officers are wary of approaching certain ethnic groups and  the ongoing delay by our wonderful CPS in charging the Manchester airport attackers it’s hard not to come to the conclusion that there is indeed varying levels of law enforcement in the UK. I’m pretty sure if I punched a WPC in the face the charges would be forthcoming very quickly and rightfully so.

Labour wants a million new homes in 3 years and they are building new rivers and groundwater to supply them

Southern Water, which serves 4.7 million customers, has submitted official plans to bring in 45 million litres of glacial meltwater daily for six weeks in case of drought.

And now for some real news. Do you reckon Climate Change has anything to do with this nd?

Several people have died across the Czech Republic, Austria, Romania and Poland following devastating floods.

Incessantly spamming an arb forum with screen shots to fit your weird personal agenda doesn't count; you'll have to do better than that to make it on to the Pottering Thread!

El Nino. Not climate change BS.

Not really BS, the climate is constantly changing, though human activity has increased the rate of change over the last century. However yes, El Nino but more La Nina (?) - the cold spell of El Nino has had an affect more than climate change over the last couple of years than humans.

Not sure about Poland but flooding in the UK often is affected by our activities - housebuilding so nowhere for rain water to go apart from flooding rivers - but if we want people to come here and work they want houses and so the flooding will get worse - and to link to Tree-Fancier - they also need to drink in these new houses.

How was that - linked 2 'making the news today' stories that don't appear to be linked?

(ignoring the other story until a dubious link "CPS not prosecuting yet is all Kier Starmers fault for not working there any more" is made... the Daily Starmer report)

No one mentioned Starmer apart from you. The info is out there though, although I couldn’t post the link with an I phone im pretty sure a quick google on your computer will bring up the info you require to move it from dubious to actual fact in your head. And who is the “we” I’d rather we train our own people up as even this shit show are now admitting is preferable.
The Starmer comedy show is going along nicely, plenty more to come me thinks on that one, in particular why he’s always in  Ali’s apartments 🤔
