Cost of living there is astronomical so you need the big tax free wage to maintain a basic standard of living. A colleague of mine went there a few years ago and was earning mega bucks, but his wife couldn’t work and they came back after 5 years and managed to find a good accountant who got there savings back minimally taxed. They were mortgage free but didn’t rate it as life experience!!

An interesting paradox for those with a Lefty leaning in UK politics and an anti Israel sentiment:

"I understand the head of the clan, who does not want sovereignty other than the rule of the male, but what do...

You think that's bad, you should see what the Israelies are up to.
I read the article, the source is a bit shit though.
I'm not sure what your point is.

Interesting that you direct your focus at the 'source' rather than the content Mark.

I'll happily buy and read Socialist Worker - not because I believe in it or support it but because there might be something I want to know about in it.  If it is an accurate report of facts, so be it, doesn't matter so much who presents the facts as what the facts are.

The 'point' I was making was that with the UK Labour partly balls deep in an Equality & Human Rights Commission investigation into anti-semitism (and widely acknowledged pro-Palestinian rhetoric) it must weight heavy on the bleeding hearts to learn that such 'inhuman' behaviour is actively supported by the organisations that garner such overt sympathy from the UK Left of politics.

Strikes me as an obvious contradiction.

Thanks for clearing that up.

What has Palestinian domestic abuse got to do with Israel Mark? Genuine question.

Any libertarians got opinions on Koch, Soros, & other billionaires who make it their business to swing other people's?

It'd be interesting to read some undisputable facts about what these individuals are actually doing to swing other people's opinions. There was a very interesting programme about how Soros has become a bogeyman for the right and receiving the "credit" for lots that he and his organisations have nothing to do with, also lots of anti-Semitic issues around this.

Assuming that they are doing things to influence voters etc, how is it different to or is it any worse than the involvement of Cambridge Analytica in the vote leave and trump campaigns? both of which may not have won without their data harvesting and targeted advertising tactics.

There's lots of dubious information on both sides and plenty of conspiracy theories to add to the genuinely possible options.

Not a great deal mate. Kev posted that as bait, I did what I could to diffuse it.

There's bad apples in every bunch of grapes.

You know I'm pro Palestine. Also, that Gatestone right-wing shitrag isn't worth the pixels that it's rendered on.
