Sigh, an there was honest me paying for clear for years, when ah cud ave bin, rather profitably, running on red!

BUT

Long overdue, a level playing field for all, and surely possible to offer a rebate for the clear diesel purchased and used by  bona-fide commercial or industrial users, but now post purchase, or even link in such a way that only VAT registered firms can claim the rebate.

Like it WILL hurt me, being used to using red to run my tractor(s) to cut sticks.

Better stock up then!

Best up the security on existing storage as the theft of diesel will become an even more profitable enterprise now.

Agreed, it’s been an anomaly for too long.

As you say, level playing field for everyone.

Watch the budget. The conclusions will be detailed there.

The NFU had this to say:

Ahead of the Budget next week, NFU President Minette Batters has highlighted the continued need for a lower rate...

Obviously a well thought out and balanced response, as one might expect from the sector which benefits (and abuses) the current system so comprehensively.

I particularly liked the quote:

“...While agricultural vehicles have become more efficient, it is impossible for farmers to move away from using red diesel as there are currently no commercially viable alternative fuels...”

Which, translated, actually means, of course there is a blindingly obvious alternative but they just don't want to pay the same as everybody else for non-rebated fuel.

Maybe they'll have to think of more environmentally positive and economical viable ways of doing the non-agriculture related business that it is so common to see - tractors on the road transporting shoot parties, running haulage, parked at the cafe having breakfast having driven from the nearby agricultural college.  All very common sights hereabouts.

Is there something that should make the far right football hooligan mortgage fraudster who has spent time in prison for kicking a policeman in the head not abhorrent?

I DARE YOU to look up the video on YouTube described in the pic below - and then watch it with an open mind.

If you’ve got the kahoonas....

I can’t share the link (and you might have noticed the previous one is now showing as ‘unavailable’) but that’ll all become obvious if you watch the next piece.

It is simply an acceptance speech For an award  at the Danish Parliament....  How scary can that be?2A2E6DD7-1CA6-4D5B-A24F-909340C69367.thumb.png.62397d762f425d89a05f87530219b27b.png

Here’s the link from a different source.

The oppressive suppression of free speech should be like a red rag to the lefty types. Or maybe that’s a feature of fascism they secretly admire?
