Who would have thought allowing migrants from the most violent societies on earth would lead to an explosion of crime in Germany?

I"m amazed by this.

I'm just on my way back to Britain from Niedersachsen, where the consensus is not that a 10% rise is an "explosion"?

I didn't know that Angela Merkel was a member of Arbtalk?

Listen up Angela, I thought Hitler was Germany's worst ever Chancellor. But you've beaten him hands down! Time for you to go to your bunker and do the right thing before the approaching AfD troops capture you!

Maybe not an explosion but also not something I would want in my environment and also depends on the type of "crime". It is fairly obvious that if you let people from poor, violent countries in to a relatively well off environment then the people with nothing will take from the better off more so if they are not working and have no income.

I can't but think that the elite in the Saxony area won't be too happy with this!

Time may find equilibrium to this population change or result in other less savoury history occurring.

Just for reference, violence against people rose by nearly 20% in the uk last year.

Over 350.000 Syrians sought to claim asylum in Germany.

Not quite 8000 in the UK.

Stating a 10% rise is a crime explosion, when the UK is far worse (it seems not due to immigration, mayhaps we blame the policing cuts?) Just strikes me as nothing but populist propaganda.

You can start by measuring like with like...

How are crime stats measured in Germany? are they any different than how they're measured in Britain?..

I came across some research that suggest the levels of mistrust rise in society when immigrants/strangers are introduced..

What does that tell us?..  well, it can tell us that introducing immigrants isn't good if you aim to have a stable happy society...

Lets look at Britain's immigration system, before mass migration we were more than comfortable when it came to joining the EU..

Look what happened after that witch Merkel caved like a coward and let in all those immigrants no one wanted..

Britain voted to leave the EU..

Merkel's cowardice has resulted in an unhappy continent..  Britain leaving Europe is obvious evidence of that..

Cowardice masquerading as a virtue is an evil if your asking me..  and thats what Merkel is, evil..   Because that witch was afraid to confront that dog in Turkey, Erdogan she instead let all those economic migrants in who were lying in wait around the ports of the Med...

And if there is a populist movement in Europe, its no thanks to the cowards from the hard left who accuse any dissenting voice of belonging to that of a racist...    well, we've had enough of it..   Britain had enough of it, Europes had enough of it..

Now, will Merkel do the decent thing and get down in that bunker?...

To a large extent it doesn't matter just how the crime stats are measured, as long as they are consequently measured by the same method.
I highly doubt such a difference in violence can be attributed to statistical differences.

Distrust in strangers isn't limited to foreign immigration is it?

I'm not gonna address the rest of y'r rant, but maybe look into the difference between correlation and causation?

Thing is .... didn’t regulation change in the UK to stop ethnicity and religion being used as a measuring stick for crime? Could be wrong on that but I’m sure I read it somewhere so correlation could be difficult also that 8000 number is utter tosh! I’m not far from @Vespasian geographically speaking which is nowhere near where immigrants are being brought in yet immigrants where using a popular hotel chain as temporary accommodation until housed in different parts of the country the numbers passing through where mind blowing! 8000 for the whole country is way off the truth.

hahaha  I'm on the cusp WesD....   I'm just waiting to get a sense of the changing zeitgheist within Europe..

I expect that to be showing signs over the next year or two...  if Europe doesn't get its act together I'll be as rabidly anti European as the next man...

They have a year and half at most to start producing signs or they're done...
